Is real estate your life?  Do you sign listings at 8pm, hold open houses every Sunday afternoon, jump in the car and rush to show a buyer your listings at the drop of a hat?  Is real estate your life, or do you have a life?  My intent isn't to offend, though I'm sure some will be offended.  I was reading a blog on our local newspaper forum, and a local real estate agent/broker posted this comment:
"Agents who turn OFF their phone on holidays and evenings will not last in coming years."

I'm an internet nerd.  I hate phone calls, I panic at the thought of door knocking, I fumbled over working my close sphere, so I ran and hid in the world wide web.  I've been amazed at all of the online networks you can join: Active Rain, Real estate undressed, Linked In, Flickr, local newspaper and tv station blogs, the list goes on and on (and I don't even do Facebook or My Space!).

I was reading an online forum this morning where people looking to move to our area seek advice of local residents.  It's actually a pretty good forum, but there's a whole bunch of ignorance being thrown around too.  I was about to reply to a post, explaining that I was the professional and that this is the real information and here are my credentials so you should listen to me.
