Park Avenue Coffee is well-known to residents of Lafayette Square for its great coffee, gooey butter cake, muffins, and more.  For city coffee lovers, Park Avenue Coffee and its outdoor coffee garden serve as a community meeting place or second office.  However, Park Avenue Coffee is no longer just a Lafayette Square secret.

Butler's Pantry Palladium St Louis Set to Open with Landmarks Association Gala on November 7, 2009.
Gilded Age, a Lafayette Square developer, and Butler's Pantry, a local catering company, are transforming the former laundry building at City Hospital No. 1 from a decaying, vacant building to a state of the art event facility known as "Palladium St. Louis."

The new Walgreens in Lafayette Square is almost complete.  Walgreens and Koman Properties have built a great product.  Although the initial design received some criticism from the community, the final product is a nice addition to the Lafayette Square neighborhood.  The design includes a number of elements that make it architecturally compatible with the Georgian (former City Hospital No. 1) and surrounding buildings in Lafayette Square including:
