Respect cannot be learned, purchased or acquired - it can only be earned. Paying it forward R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Style! - 10/28/10 11:07 PM
About eight months ago I was contacted by a potential buyer through Trulia.  She was young, just graduating college, had her money saved up for a nice down payment and she was honest.  She told me from the beginning that she wouldn't be actually buying for about 9-12 months.  Over the past eight months, I emailed her regularly with property listings, we talked from time to time about properties, towns, etc.  We had never been out looking at homes but I knew the time was coming.
Today the time came but it was not what I had expecting.    Due to some personal family issues she … (5 comments)

On October 29th I will not only get paid but Pay it Forward to my buyer.... - 10/21/10 11:57 AM
Attending real estate closings here in New Jersey is customary.  Typically the buyer(s), the seller(s), agents for buyer(s) and seller(s) and their attorneys meet at the buyer's lawyer's office for the closing.  I have personally attended all my closings except for 3 which were paper closings and not even my seller or buyer attended.

I'm not going to lie, one of the reasons I love what I do is because of the flexibility I have with regard to my scheduling and so far I've been pretty good with not having to miss any important functions for my children.  There are … (2 comments)

In Memory of St. Gerard, In Memory of My Mother........ - 10/18/10 10:53 PM
I normally do not write religious posts.  I guess I've always listened to and taken the advice that you should never discuss politics or religion.
This post isn't so much about religion but about a family tradition.  For as long as I can remember and even before I could remember my mother never missed the Feast of St. Gerard at our parish, St. Lucy's Church in Newark, New Jersey.  In 1977, St. Gerard's chapel in St. Lucy's Church was dedicated as a national shrine.  Each year during St. Gerard's Feast there are the traditional lights, music, food stands and the street … (4 comments)

One bad personal experience 11 years ago has taught me to PAY IT FORWARD - 10/14/10 10:08 AM
Eleven years ago we bought our first home.  At that time I was pregnant with our oldest son and suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.  Go ahead say it!  Hyperemesis Gravidarum??? What's that?  In short, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) is a debilitating and potentially life-threatening pregnancy disease marked by rapid weight loss, malnutrition, and dehydration due to unrelenting nausea and/or vomiting with potential adverse consequences for the newborn(s).  Luckily I am a 3x survivor of HG.  Unfortunately, some haven't been as lucky as I am.  They have either lost their unborn child either through miscarriage or abortion or they, themselves lost their lives battling … (3 comments)
