The Fairfield New Jersey Public School District will open its doors to students, old and new, on Tuesday September 6, 2011!  For those new to the Fairfield Public School System, there are two public schools (1 for K-3 and 1 for 4-6), a full day kindergarten program, bus transportation, before and after care for working parents and offer a hot lunch program. Fairfield is a Nut Free School District.   
Grades kindergarten through third attend Fairfield's Adlai Stevenson School ("Stevenson") on Knoll Road.  There is also a Pre-K4 program at Stevenson School and before school and after school care program for children working parents.

The Fairfield New Jersey Public School District will open their doors to its approximate 700 children the day after Labor Day. Last year Fairfield's Public Schools biggest changes were implementing an all day kindergarten program and Keeping the Nuts out of Fairfield Schools. 
One of the significant changes Fairfield students and their parents face this year are kindergartners being on the same bus with grades 1-3.  In the past and prior to changes and cuts in the budget for the 2010-2011 school year, kindergartners had their own bus.

Did you know that good communities begin with their school system? 
Did you know that your community's school system plays a major role in the value of your property? What do you think is the first question a family moving with children asks their agent...."What are the schools like?"  Even buyers who may not have children today but have future plans of raising a family ask their agent...."What are the schools like?"
Unfortuntately if the school system is compromised, not only does the school suffer but the community suffers as well.  As a result, house values in that community may start to decline.
