dream interior redesign and real estate home staging coarsegold ca: Shining a light on a Home Selling issue. - 10/06/10 05:47 PM
Shining a light on a home selling issue. Yes, I have blogged about this in the past, but I need to do it again, due to a personal experience. All to often I visit homes with odors that cannot be located. The first issue is that seller's frequently cannot smell the odors that they live with day after day, but their visitors and potential buyers surely smell them. This is the light that is needed: These next photos are from my home. We have cats but I'm very sensitive to cat odors. When I walked into this room today, the smell of urine was prevalent and

dream interior redesign and real estate home staging coarsegold ca: 3 Common Home Staging Myths - 10/06/10 10:55 AM
Tanya, realtor/stager, has some good myth busting information here to offer. I am reblogging to my localism area. It's great when staging information makes the feature page! Via Tanya Nouwens ~ Real Estate Broker ~ Home Stager (JJ Jacobs Realty / Ready, Set...Sold! ~ Montreal Canada): These 3 common home staging myths are based on my experience staging and selling Montreal West Island homes. Please note that I am NOT an international expert on home staging and real estate, nor do I play one on TV...at least not yet LOL. That being said, in the years that I have been staging and selling

dream interior redesign and real estate home staging coarsegold ca: A Stager's Advice to Realtors - 07/09/10 06:00 PM
Patsy's advice is pertinent to all Real Estate Agents regardless of the location. Via Patsy Overton (Stage, Show & SELL Home Staging Co. Atlanta, Georgia): A Stager's Advice to Realtors Lately I've been on the agent circuit, having done recent home staging presentations for local Keller Williams, Re/Max and Prudential GA Realty offices. On the third presentation I realized that there are several key points that I always emphasize when I have the chance. I'd like to share them with you. Here they are: Never lose sight of the fact that the photos you post to your listings are infinitely more important

dream interior redesign and real estate home staging coarsegold ca: Sellers and Realtors: Staging Education, Part Six, Cleaning - 06/21/10 12:04 PM
Sellers and Realtors: Staging Education, Part Six, Cleaning Part of my role as a professional home stager is to educate Home Sellers and Real Estate Agents about the realities of Home Staging. Watching home staging programs on TV frequently misleads viewers and does not impart the details of how a professional stager works and how the staging process plays out. In the Fresno, Clovis and Madera foothill and mountain communities the housing market remains a very strong Buyers market. I have heard many stories of buyers getting homes for 40-50% of the value that was established for them 2-3 years ago. Many sellers are underwater

dream interior redesign and real estate home staging coarsegold ca: Staged FOR RENT...now with a few more photos. - 10/25/09 11:03 AM
This past week I made the trek to Huntington Beach California to stage an apartment For Rent. In the past the owner of this unit had no trouble renting it in less than a month. However, in this economy and with today's renter's expectations it had been sitting vacant for 4 months. So I crammed the van with as much as it would hold and we staged the most important rooms. Do you think that it will now appeal to more renters? Today is the Open House and I will hear the results tonight. I have mixed feelings. I don't want to make

dream interior redesign and real estate home staging coarsegold ca: Pooh, the Dinosaur, the Garden and the Watermelon - 07/03/09 11:06 PM
How many times do we (professional stagers) say it. Have you heard it: The way we dwell is NOT the way to SELL. These photos are from an example of clients that took my staging consultation seriously and made the necessary changes even though their house was a short sale property. They knew that paint was an inexpensive investment in getting the house more attention and getting it sold. This house had 5 bedrooms and here are four: The DINOSAUR (boys) room before: Boys Bedroom AFTER
