Many of you have experienced and lived with these lighting fixtures. For some reason contractors in our area still think that these albatross fixtures are still ok in kitchens and baths. I know of three spec. builders that persist in putting these into their new builds and that is just crazy in today's lighting market. In the shop or garage, OK but in the house, PLEASE they need to be updated. Dream Interior Redesign and Staging was called in to stage this cape code on a serious budget. This house had been vacant and on the market for 3 months. I had to use only the owner's furnishings but I could add my accessories and artwork. She had all antiques and none were in very good condition. The agent that hired me stopped in afterwards, with clients looking for a higher-end home and they wrote an offer. The next agent in wrote another offer. This doesn't happen in today's market, 2 OFFERS in the first day. I doubt that these before and after photos will make it into my portfolio.
