ginger sells southport: Duty Time today...Wow! - 01/06/11 05:59 PM
Well, I had my first duty day today and it was awesome.  I was only on duty from 2:30 till 5:00 and I have 4 sales calls.   Can I tell you how many calls I usually get during the "Opportunity Time Slot"?  Zilch.. So if this is any kind of an indicator..we will have a good year in 2011.
Since January 1, 2011, I have listed one lot, re-listed 4 properties and show property to buyers 2 days in a row.
Let me know if you are feeling this also.

Merry Christmas... 
Today is a blessed day....I am sitting calmly with Jimmy resting after the children and the grandchildren came over to open their Christmas presents...
There has been a  lovely hum of excitement all thru the house all day long.
For Dinner, we set the table with nibble foods....I baked a ham and made rolls.  Then pimento cheese, chicken salad, tuna salad, potato salad, deviled eggs we enjoyed by all.
Then fudge, peppermint sticks, candied almonds, peanut butter balls, M&M's and a variety of other christmas candies.

Well...Back to work as usual.
WE had an exciting Christmas with all of the family around us.  Great food, great company, great entertainment. 
There was a feeling of Christmas running thru us all the time.  Best was the Midnight Candle light service at the church on Christmas Eve..

It is so much fun to see our points grow...from the beginning to what we have now.
You can learn so much from your active rain associates. Many have really neat information that can give you a link or idea that you can then explore.  I feel that I am not alone and that there are other Active rain folks just like me, needing new ideas or remembering the old tried and true systems that have worked for along time.

Being Santa...
Today our office became Santa for a young Coast Guard Family that is struggling here during the Christmas Season.  We adopted two coast guard families and are having a ball...buying for the little children and their parents.  What an awesome experience.  One of my co-workers and I went to the home today and unloaded a car full of toys that were given by the folks in our office.
If you really want to get into the Christmas Spirit...adopt  family..and share what you have with them with love and respect.

What a great time of the year.  Christmas parties about every day with friends, family and the office and church.  It would be so good to have these delightful occasions spread out over the entire year rather than being bunched up ove a 4 week period of time.

Today we took toys to two coast guard families.  The children were very small and the family was in need.  Our office collect over $600. to provide a Christmas for these two family.  The look on the parents faces were unmatched with gratitude.  We were being Santa.  It felt so good.
If you get a chance to give to those that are less fortunate than YOU...do so...YOU will feel the true meaning of Christmas.

In our sales meeting, our discussion was centered around our fund raising for
Habitat for Humanity.
Our office has been making Christmas Wreaths for YOUR front Door.  We get together at night (about 10 of us) and sing carols with the radio and decorate these beautiful wreaths.  Sell them for $20 each.  We have made about $600. toward the house that we are building.

ginger sells southport: New Offer to Purchase forms - 12/15/10 11:06 AM
In the State of North Carolina, we are having new forms to come out as of January 1, 2011.  There are a few vital changes that are going to affect us all.  It has a lot to due with Due Diligence.  Are you all dealing with that in your state?  Our Offer to Purchase is not 9 pages long.  I do remember the day when we wrote our contracts on the hood of a car with carbon paper to make a copy.
Not sure I like all the changes..

I just love this time of the year with all of the Christmas programs going on TV right now. 
I enjoy all of the Specials and also seeing the classics like "Miracle of 43rd Street", "It's a Wonderful Life", and then "Santa Claus" and the animated ones like Rudolph, Frosty and of course the Grinch.
Many of these I saw as a child.  Now my Grandchildren are enjoying them.
Just another wonderful Memory.
