This is too good not to share. At this time of year, many of us are running around trying to get the things done that we feel need to be done. Guess what. Many of those things that we try to get done, really are not that important. We need to reflect on our lives and the lives of those around us. Life is short and precious.
We need to be greatful for the abundance of grace that has been given to us.

More than 12,000 Kraft Foods employees recently participated in our first-ever global week of community service - "Make a Delicious Difference Week." Employees around the world created this video to help spread the volunteer spirit.
Each time it's viewed, the Kraft Foods Foundation will donate money to Feeding America to help provide five meals to those at risk of hunger -- up to 100,000 meals through the end of October 2009.

Margaret Taylor Harper, 92, of Southport died Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Duke University Medical Center of complications following a stroke.
She was born February 17, 1917, in Southport, daughter of Charles Edward and Jessie Stevens Taylor. She was graduated from Greensboro College in 1937 and was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport, where she was organist for more than 50 years.
She was married to James M. Harper Jr., publisher of The State Port Pilot newspaper, who preceded her in death in 1994. She edited the Southport newspaper during a period of World War II when … (1 comments)

Going home today to see my husband and daughter and grandchildren. I have missed them so. I have been in Durham with my 92 year old Mother in law while she has been in the hospital for the past two weeks. She is getting somewhat better and I feel that I can take a break. We have been busy with a Mother that has had to be hospitalized at Duke Hospital. She has been a resident as Croasdaile Village Retirement Community. She helped to create this retirement community and felt that she had to come here and leave beautiful Southport North Carolina. She is now 92 and had been doing very well. We find that upon waking this morning, that it feels like fall...
High tide in the marsh, butterflies flitting around the Lantana, Ibis and Gulls flying overhead. Such a lovely site to behold.
I feel Blessed to live in such a wonderful location along the beaches of North Carolina.

Today I attended a short sale seminar that I found to be very informative and productive.
Short sales are an animal of a different breed.
I learned much that would have helped me in the short sale that I am working on now.
Please, if you are involved with on...find out if the sellers have declared bankruptcy! That can blow the
whole deal if they have.
I am learning that the hard way.

Wow...
43 years ago....
It is truly hard to believe that I can be that old....But ..guess I am anyway.
I graduated from Tar Heel High School in 1966 with 31 classmates. Small graduating class but some really good folks in it.
At the reunion, we had 17 folks with spouses to attend. It was such a great evening. WE were served fresh BBQ, Cole Slaw, Baked beans, and peach cobbler. So good....
Wish that you all have good times like this with your class mates..

Another Great Sunday time with the family.
After going to church with our two youngest grandchildren, we came home to cook London Broil out on the grill. Our son in law, lit the fire and proceeded with the marinated London Broil, eggplant and Onions.
Meanwhile, the grandsons helped me to fix the salad, make the thousand Island dressing, whip up a peach cobler, butter the bread for coonking and finish the tea. All with the help of 4 tiny hands and mine.
It was absolutely glorious....
Fun time had by all.

Well, I have come down with a summer cold. Hopefully not th swine flu. Started on Monday with stuffy nose and a bit of coughing.
Have you all had the Swine Flu and if so ...tell me what to expect if I should have it.
No fever as of yet.
I am drinking plenty of juice and water and taking congestions medicine.

It is so good to get up in the morning and feel the chrispness of the air. Getting ready for blanket time on the dock.
Fishing is getting better also. Our Son caught a 26 inch Puppy Drum over the weekend and it fed 6 of us for dinner. (along with a few shrimp and cole slaw)
