southport: Southport, the place I call home - 01/22/11 10:59 AM

Southport is one of the most beautiful & charming small towns in North Carolina.
Visitors flock to Southport's picturesque tree-lined streets to explore its many restaurants, shops, marina, yacht basin & historic attractions. Hundreds of years ago, pirates & explorers visited the area.
Today, it's convenient location, where the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, & Cape Fear River meet, is still very popular with mariners.

southport: Coastal North Carolina - 06/15/09 09:07 PM
We are are listing and  selling in a coastal community of North Carolina need to set up our own blog.  I think that we can share ideas to each other that work and what does not work.  I know that if I can sell to a  buyer at our beaches and quaint towns, I should be able to refer these buyer to YOU...In your community.
Let's get together on line and share ideas of what we can do to make this work.
I represent the Southport Oak Island area of North Carolina..Brunswick County,

Thanks in advance,

southport: Best of the Best! - 05/11/09 02:30 PM
Hi All,
Today we were celebrated by our owners for being the "Best of the Best" with our company.  Criteria being that you have to have so many sales and so many listings in the first quarter of the year.  I think that is wonderful to be recognized for the hard work that you do.
Our company provided us with a nice lunch and then talked with us about the market here in the Southport ~ Wilmington area of North Carolina.
It was very pleasant.

Safely thru another week.  We have seen Spring come and are enjoying the flowers and birds that we have not seen for 6 months.
Thank God it is Friday!  We all need a bit of rest after working hard trying to find the buyers and the sellers.
I am still looking for a source to find the lenders that need my services to market the Bankrupties and REO.
If you have information to share, I would surely appreciate it.

southport: http://www.sporcle.com - 03/26/09 03:43 PM
I just found another website that I wanted to share with you.  It is a learning site for us and adults and also for our children.  If you have school aged children, you may want to share this with them.  It helps in learning the States of the United States, Counties around the world, world capitals, TV phrases, and much more.  It also helps in keeping your mind sharp.  I am trying to ward off Alzheimer's
Enjoy,

southport: Ginger of Southport~North Carolina - 03/23/09 02:05 PM
Do you take time to smell the roses?  I have had the wonderful experience of spending time with my nine month old granddaughter, Marissa. We had such a great time pouring tea and eating snacks.  Then we had to dress the babies dolls and feel them.  WE loose precious time when we do not look around and see the beauty right under our noses.  Time that can never be made up.
Smell the roses this weekend...

southport: 1st Day of Spring! - 03/21/09 04:21 PM
Here in the Southport Oak Island area...Spring has sprung..
Flowers are blooming, air is fresh, temps are warm.  I feel rejuvenated during this time of the year having been through a cold winter.  We find that our blooming flowers are a bit behind those a further inland.  I think it has something to do with the water temperature of the ocean and bays that keeps us a bit cooler.
I hope and antipate that this time of the year will bring buyers to us so that we can help them find their "place in the Sun"
Good wishes for all.

southport: DeLuca Tips - 03/17/09 02:07 PM
I shared with you last week about some of the tools and tips that Rick DeLuca shared with us.  He is a gifted speaker who wants us to be successful.
One of the tips that I am now using is .. picassa.com..  This is a program that allows you to arrange all of your photographs in a very easy and understandable way.
I have done this on all of my computers now and find the photo that I need in just a snap.
Check it out.

southport: Another contract! - 03/16/09 11:15 AM

I got a contract on one of my listings accepted today....
It seems like a long time in coming.
A sale of a Mobile home in one of the communities.
Right now, I just want to work with Buyers and Sellers.
Just want to do my job.  We need to stay on our toes and not get rusty.
We still have some affordable homes to sell.
Hurray!

southport: It's Another Mon--day---! in Southport~Oak Island NC - 03/16/09 11:10 AM
And Rainy!
But what a wonderful weekend.  It is such fun to have all of the family over for a Sunday Dinner.  Yesterday, we had country style barbecue ribs, with Butter beans, peas, corn, stewed potatoes, spiced apples, cornbread and tea.....Chocolate cake for dessert!  It was delightful with children ranging from 9 months to 3 1/2 years old.
These are the days that memories are made with.  After dinner, we went walking with the 3 1/2 year old to discover lions and monkeys in the woods in front of the house.  Oh... to be young again with such imaginations.
Hope your … (1 comments)

southport: Stress Kills! - 03/09/09 02:11 PM
Are you seeing more realtors dying as a result of our econmic situation?  A dear friend of our was found dead on his sofa this morning  by his dear wife, and we are all in shock.
Making a living is what we have to do...but not to the detriment of our lives.
Remember to do something good for someone today.
Stop and smell the roses!
Peace and good health.

Well,
We were suppose to be playing in the snow..but that did not happen.  It is cold.. temperatures in the high 30's and Cloudy.
School was delayed for 2 hours because of the impending snow fall.
Aren't we lucky.  There are places that are absolutely snowed in today and now way to get about.  I am very Thankful for where I live.
Nice place to visit but GREAT place to live.

Take care,

southport: Snow in the South tomorrow! - 03/01/09 08:23 PM
We hear that it is going to snow here in Southport tomorrow.  What a treat since we usually do not see snow for years.
I truly hope that where you are, you enjoy the snow and hope that it goes away as quickly as our does.  The end of the week will have temperatures up into the 70's again.
That is one of the reasons that I love living here so much.

Take care and Ya'll come and see us.

southport: Ginger of Southport~North Carolina - 02/06/09 09:25 AM
Southport - Originally incorporated in 1792 as Smithville, its progressive citizens changed its name to Southport in 1887 in hopes of attracting a port. The port went further upstream to the City of Wilmington but this entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in the City today. The historic charm of this community will captivate you as you walk under a canopy of 200 year old live oak trees, or walk past majestic Victorian century homes which once belonged to river pilots or maybe even a pirate or two. Southport is one of few Cities with a true downtown. Banks, antique & … (1 comments)

side of this note.
We truly do live in a very lovely coastal community that is still affordable and family oriented.
Know that I will be excited to work with you on referrals.
