New Home Building in North Atlanta - 09/30/06 01:22 PM
Even with all of the news of the market slowing down, it hasn't seem to stop developers in Atlanta.  Sure there inventories are a little high, but the building is still going strong.  From what I've seen is a large number of spec-homes sprouting up at this time, much more than recent years.  I guess we can attribute it to low builder patience.  The types of new neighborhoods in this region are innovative, not your usual run-of-the mill subdivisions that turn metro areas into suburban waste-lands.  And that is definalty a good thing!

The constant Media bashing of Real Estate - 09/30/06 01:09 PM
I don't know about you(my fellow Realtors), but I am sick and tired of turning on CNN, FoxNews, and my local networks and hearing about how bad the Real Estate market is and how it will get even worse.  My clients are always calling and asking, "Is it a good time to sell?", or "Is a good time to buy?  It's funny but I am starting to think the media controls Real Estate Hot Spots & Cold Spots.  Sure the statistics from the NAR are in front of us all, but you can look at numbers every which way.  Housing statistics can … (2 comments)

Woodlands - A great neighborhood for a North Atlanta Commute - 09/26/06 02:35 PM
I have recently sold two homes in The Woodlands to couples who both commute to Atlanta.  Now at first it seems like a long and dreadful commute, but the reality is, by taking Johnson Ferry Road from East Cobb, the commute is quite short.  Both couples have told me of commute times of under 40 minutes to Buckhead.  I am impressed.
