The store was more of a feed and seed store when Clarence May started May Garden Center  October 1956 in Oconomowoc,_Wisconsin .  The immediate area back then had more farms and fewer subdivisions. Today Mark and Mary May along with their staff operate May Garden Center. Yes you can still get horse feed and horse minerals but the emphaisis through the years has changed to a more suburban market. Now from May Garden Center  Ocononomowoc, in addition to the usual lawn and garden products you can get bird feeders & bird seed, pool and spa chemicals, lawn ornaments, and possibly a hand raised cockatiel, dog treats and … (1 comments)
