Today is my son's first birthday. You can see in the photo we've already got him hard at work answering phones.What a fantastic year together and I'm really looking forward to all the great things to come. First steps, days at school, first tricycles and first school plays...We've had some nice celebratory lunches with friends all over Utsunomiya. I have had the purest experience of the power of focus. If you've ever been around a baby who has just learned to crawl you will know what I mean. Before my son saw what he wanted but had no method of obtaining it aside from crying. Chances were probably 50/50 that he would get it.Now with the power of locomotion there is nothing to stop him. We celebrate many things in life. The greatest to date for us has been the healthy birth of our first child, our son Ronan Amadeus Millar. He was born 4:25PM, 10/7/08 after a long labour by his amazing Mom, Danielle! Through all the hard work, joys and successes in life and to come, we found Ronan's birth to be a wonderful experience to bond and connect on a different, higher level.
