Business is booming at the Rough & Ready Lumber Company! As Josephine County Historical Society's "Passport To History" suddenly jumps into high gear! Rough & Ready Lumber Co. was started in the 1920's by the Krauss family, who first settled in the Illinois Valley of Oregon in the late 1800's. The mill originally was portable, and timber cutting and milling was done in the forests.
Rough & Ready Lumber Co. has been in its' current location since 1943.
