West Haven offers a great boardwalk that stretches approximate 3 miles. The beach is parallel to Beach St, Captain Thomas Blvd and Ocean Ave.  Along those roads, we have several restaurants. Just a few are Chick's Drive Inn, Stowes, Biagetti's, App's, Savin Rock Roasting Company, Jimmies, Turks and The Oyster River Tavern.  Of course, grab a quick bite or a treat at Subway, Dunkin Donuts or Baskin Robbins.  We have a plaza on Captain Thomas that has many conveniences, Peoples Bank, Jerry San II, IGA grocery store, a diner, El Torero  and much more....  During the year, the beach is the host of several events, to name a few, Savin Rock Festival, 4th of July fireworks, classic car shows and the American Diabetes Walk.
