However, this expectation is a bit problematic, especially when working with bank-owned and short sale properties -- actually even with traditional "seller" listings. Consider the following: In the typical purchase

buying advice: Part II - New Construction In and Around Auburn WA - 03/05/12 09:14 PM
In Part I of this post, I reviewed new construction and communities by DR Horton, Soundbuilt Homes, Schneider Family Homes, and Conner Homes. Because new construction is such a huge part of our south King County and north Pierce County Auburn location, I’ve split my quick overview into two posts. buying advice: Part I -- New Construction In and Around Auburn WA - 03/05/12 05:48 PM
Acquiring a new home is thrilling for every Buyer, but new construction, in particular, maintains an exceptionally high level of anticipation, followed by what seem to be endless delays and frustration, and then finally culminating in a near fever-pitch of excitement. buying advice: 15 Things Your Buyer Agent Should (Will!) Do For You! - 08/21/10 01:11 PM
My daughter is currently shopping for a house outside of Washington State, where I'm licensed and practice. Although I cautioned her and her husband against making sign calls and suggesting (strongly!) that she work with a Realtor I interviewed on her behalf and recommend, they decided to make a sign call and then moved forward with that agent. And not happily so. When I spoke with her by phone yesterday, her comment to me was "Oh Mom, the agent just opens the doors. We're perfectly capable of finding houses on our own and we don't need any other help." Yikes! Now
