One of the things that every Buyer considers when purchasing a home is real estate taxes.  After all, that can add a sizable amount to your monthly payment, between $100 and $300 per month for most Tucson homes.  Real estate taxes are assessed annually and paid in two installments, one in April and the other in October.  However, if Arizona follows the example of many other states with transfer taxes, homeowners in Arizona may soon be experiencing what amounts to double taxation.

Conforming Loan Limits

A little-discussed addition to the Bush Administration's plan to help stop foreclosures last year was the addition of a new FHA loan product called FHASecure.  The idea behind this plan is to relax qualifying restrictions somewhat so that people who have ARMs (Adjustable Rate Mortgages) that are resetting can get into a new loan and continue to make timely payments.
 That sounds like a good plan, right?  Let's talk about the details.
1) FHASecure mortgages will only be available through the end of this year.  The application must be signed on or before December 31, 2008.

There's nothing like a controlling HOA (Homeowner's Association) to make some homeowners see red.  We have all heard the horror stories over the years, although many associations have relaxed and have come to realize that they are there to serve the homeowners rather than restrict them.
