Exercise Your Rights! - 10/29/10 08:34 AM
Exercise Your Rights!  Even though I try to avoid the media onslaught...it is obviously impossible to avoid all the election brew-ha-ha.  Yes I did say EXERCISE Your Rights!
My trips to the gym always help me clear my mind and find focus.  They are not without stiffness and yes even some pain.  The old saying...No Pain...No Gain!  Is of course true.  Exercise brings some pain...but the lack of exercise brings even more!
I am amazed when I read or hear that they are expecting a 45 to 50% turnout for this election.  The new electronic ballot boxes are almost painless....Yes I … (3 comments)

Free Flu Shot Clinic - 10/27/10 06:27 PM
A Free Flu Shot Clinic was held today in Mountain Home by The Baxter County Health Dept. at The Baxter County Fairgrounds exhibition building.

The County had folks directing traffic at the fairgrounds which made it much easier to get parked and headed in to get the free flu shots.  The coordinators were standing by with the proper documentation and form for the people to fill out. … (4 comments)

A Fall to Remember! - 10/27/10 10:17 AM
We are enjoying A Fall to Remember here in the beautiful Mountain Home, Arkansas area!  I will leave the reasons for the annual flaming fall revue to the experts.  I have come to really look forward to the beautiful colors the Lord has blessed us with!

I took this photo last week from a homesite that I just listed.  We can have a huge variation in colors here depending on which side of the lake or river you may be on...rainfall, heat, etc...  I don't worry about it...I just try to get out and enjoy it!  I hope you get … (2 comments)

Attitude of Gratitude - 10/26/10 11:25 AM
An Attitude of Gratitude is what I have been working on building in my Life as well as my business.  It is no secret that times...they have been tough.  Those of us that have been in this business for more than a few years have seen tough patches before.  Very few few have seen it be as tough, for as long as this one.
I am very thankful for the blessings of living and working in this wonder filled country of ours. Specifically living and working here in the Mountain Home area.  I am however, human.  I do get to points … (10 comments)

Thermometer or Thermostat? - 10/20/10 08:35 AM
Thermometer of Thermostat?  Which are You?  My pastor delivered a powerful message Sunday and one of the points he discussed was just that.

As I listened to his message it began to sink in...It is easy to be a thermometer...to be a reporter of information, to be an order taker.  It is much more challenging to be a thermostat, to actually control the temperature, to initiate a change in our environment, to heat up the market.
Yes, I do realize that power is required to use a thermostat effectively.  Who is going to be the power … (5 comments)

Dependence on Technology - 10/14/10 10:18 AM
Dependence on Technology can bite you!  We spent the morning yesterday reminding ourselves how to do business without the Internet and without telephones....YUCK!  My office here in Mountain Home has cable Internet, and currently, cable telephone.  Our service was interrupted by a bad circuit 60 miles away for the entire morning yesterday.

We were fortunate that we (the agents) all have cell phones.  So, we were able to contact clients and closing companies and all the different contractors that are now involved in a Real Estate transaction.
I know … (8 comments)

MDA Lockup - 10/06/10 09:41 AM
MDA Lockup is today!  I am actually excited about helping The Muscular Dystrophy Association today!  I got the phone call a couple weeks ago....One of my Co-Agents hear at Century 21 LeMac Realty had been tapped to be locked up.  He gave them my cell phone number....Yeah, call me a sucker....I said yes and I have been trying to raise money to make my bail.
I have written checks to bail out friends in the past, but I am looking forward to the whole process today.
Help the kids by making a donation if you care too.  Better  yet.... Get involved … (0 comments)
