Housing Counsel: The Quagmire Called Square Footage - 06/30/07 10:15 PM
Question: We are under contract to purchase a downtown condominium unit. This is a resale situation. The seller's real estate agent has represented the unit to contain 860 square feet. However, when my wife and I physically measured the apartment, we can only come up with 830 square feet.
Is there a formal method of making these measurements? Obviously, we do not want to pay for more than we are actually getting.

BE PREPARED | Carry your networking tools with you at all times... This includes a legible name badge, business cards, business or product brochures, 3 X 5 cards and a pocket sized card file containing the cards of other professionals in your contact sphere. Fineally be open to opportunities to build relationships by investing your time in others. Remeber, you must first build your network before you can work your network!

United States Golf Association Is Passionate About Pinehurst, NC - 06/21/07 11:43 PM
The United States Golf Association made it official when it announced that the U.S. Open will return to Pinehurst No. 2 in 2014.
The announcement came at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania, site of this year's U.S. Open. The world-renowned Pinehurst Resort previously hosted U.S. Opens in 1999 and 2005. It had been speculated since the final day of the 2005 Open that the USGA would bring the national championship back to the Donald Ross-designed No. 2 course. It was just a question of when. The earliest possible date was 2014.

Previously we lived and practiced real estate in Utah, a non-disclosure state and we now reside in North Carolina, which is a disclosure state, so we've experienced both.
Whats really interesting is in the Pinehurst, NC area, many of the communities do not allow for sale signs... But thats another topic in itself.

Federal and state regulators say it's one of the fastest-spreading new scams in the mortgage market: Internet-based companies that artificially raise loan applicants' FICO scores by 50 to 200 points by implanting credit accounts of consumers with outstanding payment histories into the credit files of borrowers with low scores and bad payment histories.
