tips: Adding Feedburner to your Outlook Signature - 12/12/07 09:43 PM
Missy Caulk had asked me about my Email Signature block the other day, so I had promised her that I would write up a quick blog about how to make hers look like mine.  I add the Feedburner to help promote my blog subscriptions.

Few logistics first. I use Outlook 2003 as my mail client. I have only two email address accounts on it. Bob.Carney(at)LongandFoster.com and Bob(at)gotbob4homes.com. One is my companies Microsoft Exchange server and the other is my email service on my Domain from Godaddy. I have multiple other email addresses associated with my other websites, but they … (34 comments)

tips: How to move Wordpress.com to Wordpress.org on Bluehost with a godaddy domain - 10/25/07 11:35 PM
I have been stressing the move to Bluehost for about the past month.  I have been digging up everywhere looking for the answer.  Cheryl has started playing with WP.org and offer some advice...ALL THE ADVICE HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL, but it didn't answer my the specific question I had in my mind...Ya See, here was the situation...I spent soo much time on my wordpress.com blog and google was loving it, Everyone was reading my blog via readers, and accessing it through my domain http://focusonfrederick.com/  My domain was a part of Wordpress.com.  My mind was racing...how do I get this over to Bluehost without disrupting … (34 comments)

tips: Making the big move right now - 10/24/07 07:27 AM
I have been putting it off, because I was skeered... I just bit the bullet.  I am officially in the process of moving my "outside" blog to Bluehost hosting service.  So here I post it, so you can see a grown man cry when it doesn't work.
I will be back to pretty this up later.  I just want to mark down my steps in this process.
Moved Nameserver on Godaddy to Bluehost.com.  They were originally set to Wordpress.com.Exported Wordpress.com blog to xml file.Created "Focusonfrederick" folder on the main directory of Bluehost cPanel.Created subdomain of existing domain on bluehost.  Called it Frederick.FocusonMtAiry.com … (26 comments)

tips: Widget wadget websites and whachamacallits - 10/05/07 12:48 PM
I apologize, I have not been back here much lately... I have been adjusting to my new job and have been trying to make new systems for my business and prioritize it all...oh yeah and have a life too.
Cheryl was showing how to use a new widget, and Chris was complaining about being dugg by a old widget.  I believe we have been taken over by widgetopolis or driven to websitemania...  When will it stop?  We are doing this in the name of Web 2.0 and google rank.  Jeff is looking to help us understand everything by video tutorials...thank God … (19 comments)

tips: I'll Show you mine if you show me yours! - 09/03/07 05:02 AM
Got you to look anyways!!! Here's the deal.  Chris Elizabeth Griffith was blowing up my Q with her signature block.  She came up with a great idea to help solve that issue.  No lie I am on my 3rd Motorola Q.  It seems they haven't worked out all the issues with this one yet.  Maybe the next generation will be better.  Don't get me wrong I do like it...just can be a pain in the butt.
Anyways back on topic...showing you mine.  Related to her post, I am talking about my Signature Block.  What do you have in your signature block.  … (17 comments)

tips: Using Screen Capture to over come my Writer's Block (PC Users Only) - 08/27/07 11:59 AM
If you follow Cheryl Johnson or Kristal Kraft(whenever she writes here again...KK did your google alert go off yet?), you have seen the uses of Screen Capture or Screen Prints.  They usually use Snagit.  Everyone using a PC with windows has a screen capture program built-in.  (MAC Users I am sure have something more elaborate than this...write your own post Turner!!! :-)) The "Prnt Scrn" button will work for you.  By pushing that button you now have captured a copy of the whole screen.  You can paste that into any MS program like Word or Publisher, etc.  If you need to doctor … (35 comments)

tips: Some more Fun with Flickr - 08/06/07 10:55 PM
If you haven't heard about flickr, let me tell you a little bit about it.  Jeff Turner has shared some great tips with Flickr also.  Not only is it a great place to find Royalty Free photos, but it's also a great place to store your photos.  You can save up to 200 photos for free or pay $24.95 for a year of unlimited amount.  Check out my collection of photos. For those of you with a slight blogging addiction, it is also a great tool to upload photos to your blog or even a portal to send a photo to your blog AND write the … (65 comments)

tips: Tidbit of advice for every car traveler - 07/20/07 12:35 PM
We travel daily in our cars.  We keep it nice and clean so our clients have a great impression of us. We have eaten numerous "slam" lunches before the next client appointment.  We talk to our cars...and they talk back (Car University 101).  This is also our mobile office.  We have most likely been in this small area for a good part of the day, week month etc... We have our trunk stocked with everything a Realtor needs.
Of course it's always wise to take care of her (or him) by getting the oil changed at regular intervals.  Rotating the tires, having … (20 comments)

tips: Hi, I am calling from Malaysia and I want you to help me. (ACTIVE RAIN members beware) - 06/07/07 03:19 PM
UPDATE----  He found me on Active Rain... read below and see my webtracker image below.
In line with our famous Nigerian Scam… It has moved to across the pond to Malaysia. Our faithful scammers are getting more creative in their attempts to get into our pockets.  I received a call from an undetermined number…weird, huh?  But anyways, I was in a location that I couldn’t hear the accented voice.  What I did pick out of the conversation is that he found me on the internet and read my website.  I am so fortunate that he wants to work with me all the … (10 comments)
