technology: Could You Live in a World without Twitter and Facebook? - 08/06/09 01:14 PM
This morning started like any other workday, but quickly took an interesting turn. Review schedule, appointments and tasks: Check! Read favorite blogs: Check! Update Facebook and Twitter status: FAIL! EPIC FAIL!!! Morph into a grunting Neanderthal due to Facebook and Twitter failures: Check! Earlier today, Facebook and Twitter experienced technical difficulties, making it nearly impossible to update status or wall posts, make comments, send messages on Facebook or even log on to Twitter. After an hour of dealing with these daunting and frustratingly futile tasks, I asked myself if I "could live in a world without Facebook or Twitter." My answer

Breaking news...! I am the latest official victim of the C1B1 Flu, aka 'The Blog Flu.' (See one, be one. See a blogger, be a blogger... get it?) On June 1, 2009 I am going to re-invent myself. Ten days from now I'm going to do something that will change my life and career forever... I'm going to officially start blogging. It's my 'mid-year resolution.' On the surface, that probably doesn't seem like a big deal. Blogging is just typing a few simple words a couple of times a week, right? Unfortunately, when people tell me "you should really start blogging" it evokes the same response as the phrases "you need a root canal," "you're being audited by the IRS" or "Congratulations, you're having sextuplets!"
