Short Sale Appraisers..Please, Please, Please be LOCAL! - 08/31/11 01:39 AM
AMEN AMEN AMEN - short sale appraisers, stop taking the money and be local. Heck my last appraisal the appraiser INSISTED on a COMBO BOX - no accountability and then had the audacity to NEVER SHOW UP. Result - short sale declined for LACK OF ACCESS TO THE HOUSE.
Jokes on him, I had a combo box, had sent him the combo, and turned him in to BofA.
Kicker - he told me he had 28 appriasals to do, and mine was the furthest away - so he'd be there between 6a.m. and noon.... Since it was an hour (3 comments)
The housing market in Mountain House is dominated by short sales, REO's (Bank Owned) and investor flips. There are very few homeowners that have equity and want to sell.
How do you buy a short sale property? The short sale process is not much different from any other purchasing process, it just takes longer. A short sale can take up to 6 months to get an answer from the bank. The bank has to approve the loss (4 comments)

Today I was able to attend. Mu guess is about 140 - 170 people were in attendance. If you have never been to a ReBarCamp, find one near you and attend. it is the great "un-conference" you will ever attend. I attended 5 classes. First Class - THE CLOUD, granted, I didn't get a TON from this, and I went mainly to see if there were any fabulous new programs that I could use that I wasn't. Nope, not really. Google.Docs, Docusign, Dropbox, were the main programs mentions. I use them all and can't imagine (4 comments)
REBarCamp - East Bay - So Awesome! - 08/26/11 02:11 AM
REBARCAMP! I was SO disappointed that I missed REBarCamp when it was in San Francisco prior to Agent Reboot. I've attended 3 ReBarCamps and I love them. What can you learn from others? EVERYTHING. REBarCamp is a collaboration of minds. A quick moving, topic driven, exchange of idea and a lot of help from others who have been there done that and are willing to share. ReBarCamp is being hosted by the YPN group in San Ramon, now I'm not sure exactly what the criteria is to be in teh Young Professional Network, but I do know that I love their (2 comments)

Wordless Wednesday - Are you STUCK in a BUCKET? - 08/10/11 11:53 PM
Ever feel stuck, then when you can't get up you just give up? My son took this photo, as he was coaching baseball camp. He warned this little fella if you sit in the bucket you will get STUCK. Guess what he did. Had to tip him over once he realized he couldn't 'struggle' himself out.
Are you stuck in a bucket? Only way out - tip over! (13 comments)
