Tracy Unified School District will have the following days off during the 2011 - 2012 school year. Please notice that on Monday's all schools have a shortened day due to "teacher" meetings.  These are called Early Release Mondays. (E) of the calendar. Once school starts, students will have Labor Day off, then there won't be another holiday until October 24th.  There is a minimum day on October 7th. The difference between Early Release and a Minimum Day is the time students get out.  Early Release students get out about 1:40, Minimum Days students get out around 12:30. It's That time of year again... The Tracy Wine Stumble Stroll.   
 
The Wine Stroll happens twice a year once in the Spring and again in the Fall.

Friday, June 3rd, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. you will find the community of Tracy downtown between 6th- 10th Streets and Central Street strolling through stores and shops as they taste different wines and indulge on snacks.
Usually snacks entail cheese, bread and crackers, etc.  Wine's poured are usually local vineyards.
This is a GREAT event that promotes downtown businesses in Tracy, CA.

I received a call today from a farmer from Redding, CA.
Redding is several hours away from Tracy, CA.  He left a message asking me to call back as soon as possible.
He wanted to know how to participate in MY FARMER'S MARKET.....
At first I thought, this gentleman dialed the wrong number.  I had an appointment, and figured I'd call him back when I got back.   90 minutes later I had 2 more messages from him.  Asking if I would please provide information on how he could participate in MY Farmer's Market in Tracy, CA, THIS SATURDAY.

What are your plans for summer?  Vacation anyone? Stay-cation or Vacation? Which are you?  
Although the weather in Tracy, CA is seasonally COLD.  There is rain, which is really unsual.
Kids have graduated from High School.
School is OUT for the summer.
Summer? The weather certainly does not say SUMMER, it says Maybe Spring.
But - Summer it is... and with summer comes the question.  What are your plans for the summer?  Are you planning a vacation and if so where.

Saturday, May 28, is the first Music in the Park Mountain House community event in 2011 . 
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to Central Community Park in Mountain House, CA and plan on a pleasant evening filled with music and fun.
Pizza and Indian cuisine will be available for purchase at the park.
Vino 100 from Tracy, CA will be selling wine and margaritas.  You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol.

I got a post card in the mail from a competitor.  
I noticed several things that were interesting on this post card.
1) There was no DRE number on the card.
2) There was no company name (Broker) on the card.
3) The headline said:  "The bank doesn't want you to know, you can stay in your house at least 3 months without making a payment." Doesn't this encourage people to STOP making all payments by telling them that they could stay in their home without ever making a payment.
4) This is where the title comes from.....

I got a chance to sneak away to Monterey, CA only about 90 minuntes from Tracy, CA.  A great place to go for a little R&R.
As I opened the curtains in our hotel room, my Active Rain blogging brain saw an opportunity for yet another blog.

I was reading the post by Debbie Lynn TO Ipad or NOT to Ipad  and I got to thinking....
I have an iPad - hubby bought me the 32G for my birthday, yes I will never ever fill up the memory.
That was 3 months ago and I know I'm still not using it to it's fullest capacity.
I do know I've read more books in the past 3 months than the past 3 years.  I always have a book with me, since Kindle is loaded as an app.

The price of homes is drifting downward... and there are MORE homes on the market in Tracy than ever before.  I actually heard today that there are more homes available for sale in the entire United States than has ever happend previously.

The good news is it appears that buyers are starting to buy, interest rates are holding steady.
