Subject: Ft Collins City Council to vote on uranium mining ACTION ALERT! On Tuesday, December 4, the Fort Collins City Council will vote on a resolution opposing Powertech Uranium Corp.'s proposed Centennial/Indian Springs uranium mining project. The southern half of the project would likely be open pit mines, with the southernmost pit being only 11 miles northeast of Old Town Plaza in Fort Collins. Please contact city council members and/or attend the meeting to provide input on this proposed project. The meeting starts at 6:00 PM. It is unlikely the resolution will be discussed before 8:00 PM, as it is the fourth discussion item

Library needs to expand, but how?, an article from the Loveland Reporter-Herald, reports that despite city plans to expand the current library, a few of the Loveland City Council candidates have expressed interest in building a branch library. Ward 4 candidate Don Archuleta said a branch would stem some of the tide of vehicle traffic into the downtown and could specialize in one subject or one service, in addition to easing pressure on the existing library. Realtor of the Year, an article from The Greeley Tribune, reports that Mike Ramstack, part owner of Pro Realty Inc., was chosen by the Greeley Area Realtor Association as Realtor of the Year.
