north idaho photos: Schweitzer Mountain Christmas Day Photos- Crazy Beautiful above Lake Pend Oreille: Sandpoint Blog - 12/25/10 04:52 PM
Here is a Merry Christmas treat. By 10AM my gal O'Hally and I had tracked up to Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort to take sunrise pictures while the moon still beamed over Lake Pend Oreille above the resort town of Sandpoint, Idaho. Before 11AM we had beef and Monterey Jack fritattas, Dove hot chocolate, and had put a duck in the oven. Right now O'Hally is snowboarding with a family friend, and I am posting these pics for everyone. I have posted all the pics on my Gary Lirette Facebook Photos page. Here are some of the best: Moon shining over Schweitzer Village

north idaho photos: A day at the pumpkin patch at Green Bluff: Sandpoint Blog - 11/03/10 06:35 PM
On the hills above Spokane is a farming community called Green Bluff. Green Bluff is in Mead, WA just north of Spokane Valley and NE of Spokane off Bruce Road. Besides just being a farming community, there are little eateries, quaint stores and shoppes, and the overall atmosphere is charming. The fresh produce and fruit make it worth the drive. We stopped to visit Green Bluff this Autumn and spent a few little whiles in the pumpkin patch. north idaho photos: Hiking the Alpine Lakes and Mountains of North Idaho: Sandpoint Blog - 08/14/10 05:35 PM
In and around Sandpoint, Idaho are numerous great hikes. Going towards Bonners Ferry is the Roman Nose with its two alpine lakes which you will recognize in these photos. There are hundreds of waterfalls, the main of which are featured in our North Idaho Waterfalls page. The ones in these photos are smaller cascades that dot the area in numbers too numerous to count. Hiking here is awe-inspiring. What do you think? Gary Lirette, featured in Where To Retire magazine and host of the Tuesday noon local radio
