Designations - 10/30/08 03:39 PM
ARE DESIGNATIONS IMPORTANT?  If you are using the designation to make yourself a better REALTOR, the answer if absolutely YES!!!  If you are looking for the designation to make yourself arrogant, the answer is absolutely NO!!!  Everything is about attitude.  Education is power.  With the proper education and the proper attitude you will become an excellant REALTOR.  Informing your clients as to their meaning can be accomplished within your marketing materials, so they recognize your level of expertise.

Helping Buyers - 10/25/08 08:33 AM
How about starting a Home Buyer seminar?  Help your buyers by having a local Mortgage Lender, a Home Inspector and a Realtor giving a 10 - 15 minute talk each followed by a 20 question and answer period.  Keep the whole seminar to 1 hour.  Have materials that will help your buyers available for them to take with them.  Good Luck!

Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? - 10/25/08 08:28 AM
With the government soon going to help out people from going into forclosures, there will be a lesser amount of supply on the market.  The foreclosure properties also have brought down the price of homes.  It appears that most economists and business leaders are looking at a 9 month period to dig ourselves out of this mess.  So buyers, don't delay. Now is the time to buy your home - before the market turns around.  Good Luck!

Mortgage Lending for Sellers - 10/15/08 01:18 PM
It's much harder to get a mortgage today than it was a couple of years ago. That's why some home sellers are stepping in and financing deals on their own.
The concept of owner financing isn't new, though it wasn't as popular when mortgage money was easier and cheaper to come by through traditional lenders. But in today's tough real-estate markets, being able to finance the sale of your home can give a seller an edge. "There are a lot of good buyers out there that can't get loans," says Dawn Rickabaugh, of Rickabaugh Realty, in Pasadena, Calif. "When you eliminate … (0 comments)

Agents must go the extra mile - 10/15/08 01:10 PM
Agents must go the extra mile to offer
value-added services in a changing marketplace.
After 20-plus years in real estate, Janet
Lopez, CRS, had accumulated enough furniture,
accessories, pictures and plants to be
able to stage her vacant listings. Last year,
Lopez, broker-owner at Taylormade Properties
Inc., in Tampa, Fla., began doing just
that. For a $250 fee to cover the cost of a
moving service, she uses those items to
stage a client's home from the time it's
listed until it goes under contract.
The service has been popular
among Lopez's clients, none
of whom has ever turned
down the … (0 comments)

Stagging your Home - 10/12/08 05:47 PM
STAGGING
ELIMINATE CLUTTER
STAGING ISN'T DECORATING
STAGGING IS DE-PERSONALIZING
•1)    CLEAN
•2)    CLUTTER
•3)    COLOR
IF YOU CAN SMELL IT, YOU CAN'T SELL IT!!
BUYERS WILL GET BOGGED DOWN FROM THE CLUTTER IN THE HOUSE - THE BUYER WILL SHUT DOWN.
MORE IS NOT BETTER, WHEN STAGING/SELLING A HOME
REMOVE 30 - 40% OF FURNITURE
TOO MUCH ON WALL <- ELIMINATE
"START PACKING"
DARK COLORS AND BORDERS MAKE THE ROOMS SMALLER
SIMPLE COLORS SCHEMES/HOME COLORS COHESIVE?

Do YOU Sincerely Care? - 10/10/08 05:02 PM
Yes, everyone loves to make money, but have you taken time to show your clients and others you care?
In these economic times it is important to help out with the many charities.  How about a food drive?  How about helping underprivileged kids for Christmas?  We are all hurting right now, but don't forget to help others.  I truly believe in the get by giving philosophy.

Pricing Your Home - 10/10/08 03:19 PM
Pricing isn't about what you paid for a home plus what you invested into the property.  A home is only worth a buyer will pay for it.  Look at the competition and price it so the home will be the next one sold.  Don't be afraid to price it right.  If the home is priced right, you don't have to accept a lower price and probably will receive several offers.  Too many Sellers think their house/property is so special.  Remember there are many choices and yours better be the best priced home and the best looking - if you want to … (0 comments)

E-Newsletter - 10/07/08 03:22 PM
Just started our 1st newsletter and the response has been excellent.  It gives people a chance to informally stay in touch with you.  Every month we email them a couple short real estate articles plus 5 fun items for our clients to read.  We also show  what is happening with our Real Estate Group and what we have listed or may have sold.  This shows our clients we are in business and are actually working.  They appreciate the updates and the info regarding real estate.  While things are slow, take the time to develop an e-newsletter for your clients.  It is a … (0 comments)

Watch your Budget - 10/07/08 03:17 PM
With the economy and the real estate market currently in such turmoil, now is the time to watch and trim your budget.  Look for items you really can live without(both personally and business).  Do you really need to use so much print advertisement?  Maybe cut out a social event or two a week or month.  Get lean and mean so you are ready when the real estate market turns around.  BUT - don't cut out anything that provides vital service to your clients.  Remember they are the reason we are in business.  Without our clients we have nothing.  Cut expenditures that … (0 comments)

Hang in There - 10/07/08 03:10 PM
I truly believe we are finally at the bottom of this bad real estate market.  It could still be tough over the next 6 months, but the end is near.  Our economy is in such bad shape currently that lawmakers and corporations are being forced to take the medicine required to get things turned around.  As always,  a huge economy like the U.S. takes a little time to turn the corner.  I would suspect that next spring will start to show signs of encouragement. Good luck and keep working.

Stay Positive - 10/02/08 01:01 PM
Times look grim.  But it always does at the bottom.  Things WILL turn around - it always does.  Take the time to work on the many projects needed to help your clients buy and sell homes.  Don't sulk and hide. It is time to be proactive, so when our economy turns around, you will be stronger to serve your clients needs.  Now get to work!!
