We can do something to stop this California independent contractor withholding proposal. You may contact lobby assembly member Joe Coto to oppose the independent contractor withholding proposal. If this proposal is passed, as the broker we would be required to withhold 3% from each commission check and send it to the Franchise Tax Board. I just voiced my opposition to this proposal by doing the following:
