ozaukee county real estate: Home Sales Are Surging in Ozaukee & Washington Counties! - 05/22/12 01:55 PM
Could it be that the worst is behind us? Could it be that better times are upon us in the world of real estate? We've seen a 46% increase in the number of single-family homes that have sold in Ozaukee county during the first four months of 2012 over the same time period last year. And in Washington county, there's been a 33% increase. Prices have slipped a bit in Ozaukee county -- about 9.5% -- but they seem to be making a turnaround in Washington county with about a 4% increase over this time last year. There's still a

ozaukee county real estate: Things Are MOVING in Ozaukee and Washington County Real Estate!! - 04/09/12 05:18 PM
We’ve seen a 49% increase in the number of single-family homes that have sold in Ozaukee county during the first quarter of 2012 over the same time last year and a 30% increase in Washington county. While prices have remained steady or slipped a bit, this is a strong indicator that buyers’ confidence in the housing market is indeed improving. With inventory moving at a much quicker pace and some properties even receiving multiple offers, this is the time for anyone thinking about buying a house to get out and buy a house.

ozaukee county real estate: So How Are Real Estate Sales in Ozaukee and Washington Counties?? - 03/18/12 02:07 PM
Seems everywhere I go these days people are asking, "So how is the real estate business?" And it seems that many of my colleagues are getting the same question. I happily am able to answer that with a heartfelt, "Great!" Yes, activity is certainly picking up out there. Open house traffic is increasing, even in those homes that hadn't had visitors for a while. Some homes are getting multiple offers, and the days on market don't seem to be hitting the three-digit numbers as often any more. Are we out of the woods? Probably not. But what we've seen in Ozaukee

ozaukee county real estate: Ozaukee County's Best Kept Secret -- Harrington Beach State Park - 01/31/12 09:05 PM
I don't ever remember walking along the beach or strolling around the quarry at Harrington Beach State Park in the middle of the winter. But this winter is different. So far this year, we've had minimal snow and unusually warm temps. Today we made it into the 50s. Add bluer than blue skies, a breeze out of the west, and the golden sun, and you have the makings of the perfect day to play hooky from work. So that's what I did -- at least for part of the day. I couldn't resist. If you haven't been to Harrington you

ozaukee county real estate: I'm Realizing I'm Having a Hard Time Letting Go - 01/13/12 12:56 PM
I received a call early this morning from one of my sellers to let me know she decided to accept the latest counter offer we received from the buyer who had written an offer on her house. Admittedly, I breathed a sigh of relief. It's a great offer. Clean, fair, and a pretty quick closing, too. But getting this to the "accepted offer" status wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. And this morning I found out why. It came down to the realization that agreeing to this latest counter offer meant taking one step closer to letting go

ozaukee county real estate: It's Not Nice to Tease - 01/12/12 09:11 PM
Dear Mrs. Buyer, I received your voicemail the other day that you and your husband wanted to buy a house in Ozaukee County. You said you found me on the internet, liked my bio, and were excited to work with me! You left your number, saying you looked forward to hearing from me. I was out and about putting up some "open Sunday" signs and thought it'd be best to call you when I got back to the office -- much easier than trying to talk while driving. About 20 minutes later, I called the number you left but got

ozaukee county real estate: Social Media -- The Best and The Worst of It - 12/13/11 08:34 PM
I don't think you can exist in this world today and not have at least somewhat of an idea of what social media is even if you don't use it in your everyday life. And I don't think you can be in the real estate business -- or any business for that matter -- and not have it as part of your overall marketing plan. Today I was reminded yet again just how powerful it is and what a benefit it can be. In the past 24 hours, I've had a great business plan template emailed to me from a

ozaukee county real estate: The Key is Price - 10/24/11 07:04 PM
I'm doubtful there is a "blogging" real estate agent out there who has never blogged about the importance of proper pricing when it comes to selling your house. It is the key to getting to the closing table -- no pun intended. If you are truly committed to selling your house, you must listen to what your Realtor® is telling you when it comes to pricing your house compellingly in this or any market. Buyers buy by comparison. And right now, in most markets, they have a lot of comparing to do. You hire us for our expertise and for the tools

ozaukee county real estate: We're Ready to List the House -- Now What Do We List It For? - 09/24/10 02:42 PM
One of the many things I try to plant in my sellers' minds is the fact that this real estate market we're in is ever-changing. Every day is a new adventure. Every day I learn something new. And although this has been the reality for some time now, it still can be difficult to really wrap your head around the way things are. Prices are low and inventory is high. Foreclosures and short sales are out there -- even in "your neighborhood." No one is immune from this. No one. What does that mean if you are ready to

ozaukee county real estate: Is That the Light at the End of the Tunnel That I See?? - 04/03/09 09:34 PM
Over the past month, it seemed like the activity at my office was picking up a bit -- open house attendance was up, more showings were being scheduled, more offers were being written on the board, and more listings were being taken. But it wasn't until I ran the number of sales over the last three months from my local Multiple Listing Service (MLS), that I saw on paper how much things really had improved. Are we starting to make a comeback?? While it will take some time for market

Forbes.com has declared what everyone living in Ozaukee County already knows. They have named Ozaukee County one of America's Best Places to Raise a Family, second only to Hamilton County, Indianapolis. ozaukee county real estate: What Exactly is a "Short Sale"? - 06/10/08 04:49 PM
Unfortunately, with oil and gas prices on the rise, the unsteady economy and bad lending practices in the past (which have mostly been rectified), many families are now having trouble keeping up with their bills. This includes their mortgage payments. There's an ever-increasing number of homes going into foreclosure all the time. You may know what a foreclosure is. But, have you seen signs indicating that a home is a "short sale" and wondered what that meant? A short sale is when a property is worth less than what you owe on it. The owner must go to their lender and
