I changed brokers this week. After 10-1/2 years of working at the same firm, I was given the opportunity to partner up with a former colleague. After many conversations with him, much praying, going over the pros and cons of making such a change again and again and again, talking with family, and realizing I could no longer ignore the many signs that this was something I had to try, I made the move.

With over half of 2012 behind us, we can look back on those six months with some relief and hope in relation to home sales in Ozaukee and Washington counties.
Unit sales of single-family homes continued to climb -- a sure sign that we are headed in the right direction.
While prices rose a bit in Washington county, they didn't fare as well in Ozaukee county with a decline of 9.5% over the same time last year. This would seem to indicate prices haven't quite bottomed out yet.

You can always be assured you'll enjoy any time you spend in this quaint city located in southern Ozaukee County. And that is perhaps never more true when spending the 4th of July in Cedarburg.
The day begins with a hometown parade at 10:00 am that runs south on Washington Avenue from Fireman's Park. One of the main attractions in this event are the award-winning Division 1 drum and bugle corps.

Stop by Community Park on Main Street in Belgium this Friday, June 30 for some good old-fashioned softball games followed by fireworks, provided by J&M Displays.
Games start at 6:00 followed by fireworks around 9:30 pm .
Refreshments, including hamburgers, brats, ice cream, beer, wine coolers and soda will be available.

I think one of our greatest responsibilities as a real estate agent is to provide service based on honesty and integrity. Sometimes it's tempting to cut corners to get the deal done quicker. Doesn't mean it's the right thing to do, but the temptation is there.
I think back to when I bought my first home and know that the agent could have so easily not completed the forms completely or accurately. And because of my lack of real estate knowledge at the time, I would have been none the wiser. I wish I still had those forms to take a … (25 comments)

We’ve seen a 49% increase in the number of single-family homes that have sold in Ozaukee county during the first quarter of 2012 over the same time last year and a 30% increase in Washington county. While prices have remained steady or slipped a bit, this is a strong indicator that buyers’ confidence in the housing market is indeed improving.
With inventory moving at a much quicker pace and some properties even receiving multiple offers, this is the time for anyone thinking about buying a house to get out and buy a house.

Looking for a place to donate clothes you no longer wear or items such as furniture, electronics, and housewares? Or are you looking for some gently used furniture, electronics, household items or clothes for yourself or your family?
Goodwill is hoping to open a retail and drop-off location in Grafton!
