Today was a wonderful day to spend at the Grand Harbor Beach Club.  It was sunny and the temperature was 83 with a little wind and almost no humidity.  The Grand Harbor Beach Club is the best club on the island of Vero Beach, in my opinion. 
 The Olympic size swimming pool is what you see when you walk up the staircase to the Grand Harbor Beach Club and it overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.  What a View!

Home Sales in Vero Beach - JUMP BY 17% - Vero Beach, FL 32963 - 09/26/07 04:55 PM
 
We received some good news today from our local Realtors Association of Indian River County, they reported a 16.9% increase in home sales for August.
The Realtors Association of Indian River County reported 159 existing single-family homes were sold in August  -  16.9% more than from the same period a year earlier.  Meanwhile, the median home price dipped 6.4% to $207,000 for the same period.
"It's a little glimpse of glory," said Karen Hall, association president.  "I am encouraged by these figures .........I think we are headed in the right direction."

Today I took a ride down the "Historic Jungle Trail".  It was a marvelous morning, sun shining, low 80's and low humidity.  I was the only one on the road, (it is still off-season) I had the windows down and the sun-roof open, it was exhilarating. I did pass one lady walking the trail and she had a great safari outfit on, all white, with a great white safari hat.  I wish now that I had taken a picture of her, it would have been such a great addition to this post.

 I took these pictures on a cloudy day because you always see the bright blue sky and blue waters in most pictures that you see.  I like the cloudy days, the Indian River Lagoon takes on a different feel and you are able to see more of the  wildlife and there are fewer people out. 
One of Florida's best kept secrets is the Indian River Lagoon, a gentle, narrow 150 mile-long waterway that starts near Palm Beach and extends northward almost to Cape Canaveral.
