Two Scoops: Ice Scream on the North End of Anna Maria
Took the trolley to the north end of the Island this past weekend and went to Two Scoops–at the shopping center on the corner of Pine Avenue (which is coming along nicely) and Bay Blvd. Always fun to have the grandkids out here, enjoying the island that I love so much. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy:

No trip to the Island is ever complete without a trip to the Sandbar. The food is fantastic and the view is even better, but the best part is the post-meal walk on the beach at sunset.

family fun: America's Birthday Celebration! - 07/06/09 10:16 AM

I just want to recognize the fantastic job done by our neighbors to the north of putting on a fantastic 4th of July celebration! The Bradenton and Palmetto Municipalities came together in a long standing tradition and delivered an outstanding display of festivities and fireworks over the course of the day. The fireworks were set off from the "Old Green Bridge", over the Manatee River, right between Palmetto and Bradenton. What a feast for the eyes, fun was surely had by all.
