georgia: Cherokee County - Woodstock Christmas Tree Recycling Christmas 2011 - 01/01/12 11:59 PM
Both the City of Canton and Woodstock GA have provided for Tree Recycling this year. Trees can be mulched providing wood chips or can be used for wildlife habitation for fish in the local lakes. Free Tree Mulch will be made available and tree seedlings at these cities as follows.

Taxes are due in Cherokee county on December 20, 2011 and the tax bills have been mailed for 2011. I was watching 2 amazing souls who are great communicators, very articulate and very well versed and educated in many areas of the economy and from the great State of Georgia discuss many current issues that affect us all. It was a great discussion and one of the best I have watched, so much better than the debates as this was really conversational and educational. Is Georgia the Only State that has passed Legislation to keep Realtors and Attorneys both from doing Short Sales. I had a couple call me last week in the throws of a very difficult short sale and I told them I could not help them. It was hard to turn someone away, but after 25 years in the business, I cannot help people negiotiate with their banks on Short Sales because of the Georgia Legislation. I had probably been selling real estate here in Georgia for a little over a month when a sweet young native (rare in Atlanta) corrected all 40+ of my years. She told me that in GA (pronounced JO JA) you could not sell real estate if you called the River the Chattahouchee and not the "Hooch" or if you called Marietta, Maryietta and not Mareta'. I had alot to learn about the south. And Yes I am a Damn Yankee, that is a Northerner from north of Mason Dixon who comes to Atlanta and stays!!! (As opposed to going home)

1 out of every 78 homes got a foreclosure filing in the United States the first half 2010 according to Realty Trac, that's a whopping 1,961,894 foreclosures. 1 of every 56 Homes in Foreclosure 1st Quarter 2010 in Georgia. To Top it off, Georgia ranks 8th in US, so there are 7 other states with higher foreclosures. This was with the First Time Home Buyer and the Move Up Tax Credit in Place!!! This is with HAMP and Short Sales happening!!!
That is a 27.6% jump in Foreclosures from the same first half period in 2009 which was also a disaster. … (3 comments)
