Big Day For America....Vote
This is the biggest day in American History....since the last time we voted for a President. And it will be the most defining moment....until the next election. Ask anyone! Turn on the TV, they will tell you how regardless of who is elected President this year, we are doomed. I can't remember as much negative projections in the past, but a quick perusal of the history books show clearly that politics has always been a nasty business.

I love this country!
I love the country which is the United States and the ideal which is America. I get choked up at patriotic songs and the sight of a Marine. I'm proud of what we are supposed to be....we are the good guys!
That said....ugh! What a mess we are in!
I was thinking about this on my morning hike. Wondering if we were doomed, living in the decline of the American Dream? I hope not! We've gone through things before, and as a country we rallied and prevailed. What I see different right now is the … (19 comments)

I love the 4th of July....it's always been my favorite holiday. Since I was a child. When I was young my grandmother lived at the beach and that's where we laid all day leading up to the big show that night! By the end of the day, I was burned and glowing. Felt so good! Living in Southern California we often had the June Gloom weather....but somehow the sun always managed to show up for the 4th.

I'm thinking tonight..dangerous, I know! What has happened to the memories of 9-11? Just have to ask....remember how we felt? Remember? We loved each other....we cared about America...we were united!!! We were a nation!
We have common goals and interests! We are a people! We were attacked by terrorists who want to extinguish us as a nation....it's not a conflict or a man-made disaster...what is that? I just hope we all can remember....for always...what that day felt like. How we felt and what's at stake!!!

I'm so sad! I don't recognize my country and my government anymore...and I miss it!
Do you realize our President and his government just fired a CEO of a public company? He just told the shareholders and board of directors of GM that he knows more than they do about their company. I'm shocked! I'm sad! I'm also embarrassed for my government.
This election is going to have consequences that we will read about in the history books, and it won't relate to the color of his skin. I just dont' understand why the people aren't standing up and saying ENOUGH!
