It has finally happened...after 24 years. My youngest child left the house under his own power....well, our power, a Toyota Truck. I am no longer responsible for getting ANY child to school. No more carpool!
It's been a long time since the morning was completely my own (although I did get up out of habit and try to make him breakfast).

I have raised 5 kids....and am on my last, finally. So I've been a parent in 5 different elementary schools, 2 different middle schools and 3 different high schools. (two step-kids). That's a lot of teachers!!!
Most of my experiences have been very positive....but of course there were the occasional crazies. Like the teacher who told my son he needed to pray to understand the dream he had about Hindu Elephants fighting with Ninjas (he was in 6th grade), then there was the teacher who gave a "surprise" midterm the day before Christmas break and it counted as 60% of the … (15 comments)
