"Maybe it's much too early in the gameOoh, but I thought I'd ask you just the sameWhat are you doing New Year'sNew Year's eve?" Tonight is New Year's Eve and I always love to listen Ella Fitzgerald's version of Frank Loesser's song, "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve" while getting ready for my New Years Eve festivities. Everyone in town will be getting dressed up tonight and will be ringing in the New Year 2010 at the many venues in the city of Palm Springs. New Year's Eve is the time to reflect on the past 365 days, whether (2 comments)
The natural beauty of the desert brings thousands of tourists to the city of Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley every year. When I moved to Palm Springs eleven years ago, one of the first activities that I immersed myself in was hiking. Being a "city boy" most of my life, I never had the opportunity to go to any of the National Forests or Desert to indulge in this sport. I heard about the Lykken Trail, the Bump & Grind, and the Mecca Hills. I wanted to jump right in, and start exploring everything that the desert had to offer. (2 comments)

WestJet has just announced that it will begin offering year-round flights to Calgary from the Palm Springs International Airport starting in June 2010. WestJet, which currently offers daily flights to Calgary-Edmonton-Vancouver, will begin offering flights to their Calgary hub on Thursday & Sundays starting in June. The City of Palm Springs received over 128,000 visitors last year from Canadian passengers who flew to our desert paradise via WestJet. What does this all mean? Palm Springs residents who want to get away from the summer heat can now travel to cooler Canadian (2 comments)
What a provocative title!!! Only TMZ.com could come up with a more salacious title than this. Last Wednesday, December 9th, 2oo9, I did spend the evening with Barry Manilow, but so did my entire office staff. You're probably scratching your head and thinking, "What the heck is this guy talking about?" Let me explain. Local Palm Springs resident, Barry Manilow, performed at the McCallum Theatre for 5 nights as a benefit for 25 local charities. The event, called Barry Manilow's Gift of Love Benefit Concerts, took place on December 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. My brokers, Scott & Gina (4 comments)
"The Season" is upon us here in Palm Springs and the "snowbirds" are coming in droves to get away from the coldness of their hometowns. At the beginning of the month, Palm Springs was hit with a pre-winter storm that brought rain to the valley and the air temperature plummeted to very cold levels. The luxury real estate market in Palm Springs is just as brisk as the cold air around here. Even though the market is not like an episode of Million Dollar Listing (Thank God!!), we had an (5 comments)
