Having been in the real estate business since 1999, I have come across almost every type of situation imaginable:  Someone died in the house, divorced spouses fighting with each other, probate courts, flooded homes, and ghosts.  I thought I had seen and experienced everything.  Until today.
I met with a couple who had called my office a few weeks ago looking for information about selling their home.  Based on the initial conversation, I knew they were in financial trouble.  They bought their home in 2006.   The couple, along with their 2 children,  had intended to live their "American Dream".  Then came … (3 comments)

Yesterday, it was officially announced the Federal Homebuyer Tax Credit of $8000 for first-home buyers has been extended past its expiration date of November 30, 2009.
Based on the information that is available, homebuyers have until April 30, 2010 to purchase a home and it must close escrow no later than June 30, 2010.
This is good news for the real estate community and for the many people who have been "sitting on the fence"  and waiting for the perfect deal.
I have preaching to everyone since January 2009 that the time to buy real estate in Palm Springs is NOW.

  When ever I am attending a dinner party or out for cocktails with friends, there are several topics that are usually off limits: Politics and Religion.
But when I meet someone new and they find out that I am a REALTOR, then the barrage of questions comes flooding in. Some of them go like this:
1. “What is the difference between a short sale and a foreclosure?” 2. “Do you think the Palm Springs Real Market has hit the bottom?” 3. “What is happening with Port Lawrence?” 4. “Do you think it’s good time to buy?”
