It is so hard to believe that 2008 is gone and we have again entered into a new year.  For many of us and in fact, for most of us, 2008 was a year of considerable change.  We watched as our home prices fell, gas prices rose, foreclosures reached new highs, personal bankruptcies increased, the credit market tightened, banks failed, our government began an unprecedented policy of corporate bailouts and we ended the longest presidential campaign in American history by electing the very first African-American President.

Yes, I guess it is safe to say 2008 was definitely a year of change.  Obviously, we are in for many more.  The only thing certain in life is change and I am certain we have only just begun.  I am also hopeful that 2009 will include many more positive changes as well.

We have already witnessed gas prices falling to the lowest level in several years and they seem to be leveling off.  Real Estate prices also appear to be stabilizing and interest rates are at an all time low.  If we are not at the bottom of the Real Estate market, we must be close.  These are good things for which I am thankful.

I don't mean to media bash but I do wish our press, radio and television would focus more on the positive and less on the negative.  Maybe I am naïve but I truly believe that when we focus on the positives, the positives increase.

It is my sincere wish and desire that 2009 finds you and your loved ones healthy, happy and ready for whatever it is that you need to do to make this ‘Your Best Year Ever'!

Best Wishes and God Bless!

Greg

My Thoughts On Short Sales!

In April of 2008, I published the following article regarding Short Sales: I imagine by now, you have heard the term "Short Sale" over and over and over again. Today's real estate market has lots of them. (They are really a pre-foreclosure)…
