oceanviews: Pleasure Point Santa Cruz- homes and surf that bring pleasure to all - 05/08/10 07:38 PM

You know I was recently at 3054 Pleasure Point Drive,Santa Cruz, checking it out for someone as a rental. Santa Cruz beach houses sometimes do well as as a dual function. Part investment, and part fun. Many Santa Cruz beach property owners prefer to keep them as second homes, and who could argue with that? Just seeing someone out there having fun on a paddle board or surfing, and knowing you can have a spot to park, and go any time you want, who wouldn't want to make that choice?

oceanviews: Santa Cruz County real estate to get interesting in 2010, especially Davenport,CA real estate - 01/23/10 12:47 AM

Most of us who have lived around Santa Cruz County have known someone that has worked at or with people at the old Davenport cement plant. The cement plant has been integral to Santa Cruz county for several generations. The cement produced had built many a building, bridge or drive way here in Santa Cruz as well as Silicon Valley. Real estate all over has benefited from having a plant nearby with the natural resources to create cement. These were unlocked with the beginnings of the Coast Dairies & Land company formation at the beginning of the 1900's in Davenport, CA. … (2 comments)
