Pacific Grove Homes Seduced by the Sea, the Quiet, and the Victorian I’ll tell you why I moved to my beautiful Pacific Grove home – it was the promise of butterflies. I simply adore them, and when I found out that Pacific Grove serves as their winter migration destination, I had to see them. They winter at the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, where they perch on eucalyptus and pines before heading off in March to lay their eggs and start the beautiful cycle all over again.
