There Go I But For The Grace of God! - 09/26/07 12:25 AM
For those that may think that homeowners got themselves into this mess and deserve to lose their homes...take a look at the comment that appeared today on my Sacramento Real Estate blog post that was written by a homeowner who is soon to be a renter... Thank you for writing that letter. My husband and I just lost our home that we owned 24 yrs. My children were raised there and the memories are all we have left. We will be moving out this weekend and I have shed many tears. This leaves us so very humble and now on to new (16 comments)
This photo is from the "Old Days" of Active Rain when there were but a few of us... I was asked to join Active Rain and blog from a Realtor who I admire named Catherine Myers. We were part of a group called E-Pro at the time. I had no idea what blogging was all about and blindly took Catherine up on her invitation to "The Rain." Unfortunately, Catherine disappeared for a long time but is back again. My first blog was on August 14, 2006, California Realtor Refresher Course 101 and away I went to the generosity of all those in Active Rain (37 comments)
Real Estate Market Statistics for El Dorado County in California - 09/09/07 02:33 PM
El Dorado Homes Sold from October 2006 through August 2007 is provided here by a bar chart. Looks pretty good when you look at the chart, doesn't it? What the chart doesn't show are the homes that were for sale during that time that didn't sell. There were 1, 599 homes for sale in August 2007 and as you can see, only 148 homes sold in August. What does that say to you? In my opinion, if a seller, homeowner does not have to sell, you shouldn't be on the market. The old supply demand theory...you remember. Each month I provide the Real Estate (1 comments)
Real Estate Market in Yolo County California - 09/09/07 01:42 PM
This bar graph represents the Sold homes in Yolo County from October 2006 through August 2007. The key factor here is the amount of Homes that were For sale in August 2007 (916 Homes) and the Homes Sold (98 Homes Sold). In my opinion if you don't have to sell than you should not be on the market. There are way too many homes for sale at this time. With added homes on the market it will only drive the price down further. The old supply demand theory. By clicking on the bar graph you will be quickly redirected to the Real Estate market home sale (4 comments)
Sunday Sharing in the Rain! - 09/09/07 08:54 AM
Today, I thought I would take the time to share with you some NEW things that I have found. You might want to try them or maybe you already know about them. This is Sunday and that's a day to Share...so I am sharing with all my Active Rain friends, Homeowners, Sellers and Home Buyers. I was amazed when I was present at a house where cats and a dog had lived and the resident said that her pets were kennelled and that problems on a brand new carpet were not going to be an issue. The carpet looked great to the naked (13 comments)

Protect Your Home Buyer - 09/06/07 09:11 AM
Just like the spider (isn't that the biggest spider who've ever seen?) waiting for its prey...I learned something today that is happening in Southern CA and may reach our area. Don't be caught unaware...just in case your Realtor is not familiar with this new practice... Here in the Sacramento and surrounding areas we have Title Companies to handle our Escrow when a house sells. That's where you typically go to sign all the papers on your house that you are selling and when buying a home. In Southern CA, there are two separate entities...Escrow Companies and Title Companies. And therefore seems to me to be twice the (19 comments)
