Days of Cheating on MLS at least in the Sacramento, El Dorado and Placer County are Coming to an end.
Recently, I read Here we go again! DOM - CDOM - Leased & Ative? What the heck?!? by Laurie Manny and was disheartened that we still have those agents who will reduce their integrity in the name of selling a listing.
What these agents don't realize isthey would still sell by being transparent. This generation is beyond being fooled by the shenanigans of a agent who is looking for a way around the system.

Here in the Sacramento and surrounding areas we have Title Companies to handle our Escrow when a house sells. That's where you typically go to sign all the papers on your house that you are selling and when buying a home.

When checking the MLS this evening and pulling up homes built from 2004 till now in just Sacramento County, there were 182 homes listed as short sales. This figure doesn't account for those homes that have already been repossessed and are now owned by the Bank, nor does it account for the homes that you have sold when hiring an auction company. Real Estate in Sacramento as in many of the surrounding areas is spattered with quite few homes in Short Sale, Foreclosure and REO properties (owned by the bank). Every now and then, we see a home for sale that isn't distressed and part of the back lash of the irresponsible loans issued in the past 3 years. It is such a pleasure to show a Seller's home who can actually accept an be part of an offer on their house.

California is heading the pact when it comes to moving forward with our environment. Assembly Member, Lloyd E. Levine has introduced a bill to wipe out the old incandescent bulbs and make way for the compact fluorescent light bulb.
California will be the first State to ban the common light bulb.
The old light bulbs are the same as they were 125 years ago and conduct more heat than they do light. And cost the user much more in electric bills along with using our supply of energy and landfill of these wasted bulbs.

Zillow is finding Home Buyers and Sellers. It is somewhat new unlike House Values and other websites that you might find in cyberspace to see what the value of your house is.
Are these good places to find your value...no, not really. You should not play monopoly with your home...this is the largest investment in most people's lives. Your home deserves more.
