central florida market statistics: Seminole County FL & Altamonte Springs & Longwood market statistics for August 2008 - 09/10/08 05:12 PM
The real estate market statistics are now available for Seminole County Florida, Orange County Florida, and Altamonte Springs.  This information is provided by the Orlando Regional Realtor Assn.  You can get detailed information at the Realtor website.
The number of listings is up a little bit over the last 2 months & solds are down a little as well.  However for the mostpart things are relatively flat.  Inventory, pendings, & solds are basically about the same for most of the last year+ or so.  Metro Orlando has a stronger economy compared to many other areas of the country and that has helped give the housing market some stability for whatever that is worth.

The latest monthly market statistics for Orange County and Seminole County, FL have been posted by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association for the month ending April 2008.  Link to statistics.   
The trend from previous months has continued, and that is a good thing in my opinion.  The overall listing inventory has declined for the 4th month in a row and has not increased beyond the 26,000ish mark for now 10 months in a row.  This trend of a decline is very slight, but it is a decline.  Unfortunately, the decline is mainly from listings expiring or getting withdrawn and not from properties selling.  … (1 comments)

Here are the latest market statistics for Orange and Seminole County, Florida as released by the Orlando Regional Realtor Association.  Here is a more detailed PDF file link for the statistics.
As you can see the number of listings continues to hover around the 25-26,000 mark and has done so for about 9 months now.  The number of new listings (4,811) has declined from higher levels over the last few months, showing that there are less new home sellers putting their properties on the market. The number of pending listings has increased back to levels prior to last year's Fall slump - 1,537.
