florida constitutional amendments: Last chance to make your election choices - here are some opinions and endorsements - 11/03/08 02:14 PM
Election day is tomorrow. It is a big day that so many of us have been waiting for. I for one will just be glad to not hear all the TV and radio ads full of political bashing and mudslinging. If you haven't already done early voting or absentee ballot then Tuesday, November 4, is the last date to cast your vote. Since we all need to be as educated and informed on the issues and the people running as possible, I have gathered up some information regarding the Florida ballots. A few weeks ago, I posted about the 6 amendments to the Florida Constitution that will be getting voted on this November 4, 2008. While I am generally not in favor of amending the Constitution, I do realize that many important issues are written into the Constitution and the only way to make them law is to pass amendments. Amendments #1 and #2 are social issues that do not directly effect real estate or business, so I am not going to address those. Vote your conscience. Amendment #3 would protect homeowners who install wind mitigation and energy saving devices to their property from

florida constitutional amendments: 6 proposed amendments are on the Florida ballot this November - 09/27/08 06:20 PM
With the November elections just a few weeks away, it is important to be informed as much as possible on what you will be voting for. In addition to the many state, local, & federal elections for congressional seats, city commission, school board, sheriff, judge, mayor, and of course the President, there are also 6 proposed amendments to Florida's Constitution on the 2008 ballot. There were a total of 9 amendments, but just recently 3 of these were removed from the ballot by Florida's Supreme Court. All of those removed had to do with the school system with the big
