Anybody that has been around the real estate industry for the last few months knows that the so-called "robo signing" scandal is nothing new. However this video really helps you understand just how deep this problem really runs. It is amazing how the banks will make you jump through all these hoops to get a loan, then jump through even more hoops to do a loan modification or short sale, yet the sloppiness and downright fraud on their own back end (behind closed doors) is absolutely flabbergasting. I am truly surprised that a bunch of class action suits have not

foreclosure fraud: Foreclosures and rental properties - fraud at its finest - 12/19/08 08:21 PM
When working in the foreclosure arena, it is just a matter of time before you run into someone who is de-frauding or scamming someone else. I've seen my share of scammers over the last few years. Yesterday I got to finish cleaning up what I consider a fraud deal. This particular deal was part of the infamous Florida condo market. Back the week before Thanksgiving, I got to go door-knocking on a property that had just been foreclosed by the lender. The tenant that answered the door was completely shocked to see me at her door. foreclosure fraud: Florida's brand new foreclosure fraud law - the good, the bad, and the ugly - 05/29/08 04:54 PM
If you are not aware yet, Governor Crist just signed into law House Bill 643 the Foreclosure Fraud law. You can read the final version of the bill by clicking on "Enrolled" on the legislative website or simply clicking here. In general, I am against anything regulating free trade and capitalism. The more regulation out there, the more expensive and difficult it is to do business. This in turn reduces competition thus giving members of the general public less choices and higher prices. If you don't believe me, just think of how lack of competition and high taxes and regulation have affected gas
