It was ranked #8 in the December 29, 2009 issue of Money Magazine for best places to look for a job (with an unemployment rate of 5.3%) in the country. Another reason Boulder County is a great place to live, and a smart place to invest in real estate.

You have IDX, Do you bring anything else to the party?
I was looking on the internet today, as we all do, and testing where different companies ranked in google, bing, etc.  It is interesting to see it is not the companies that represent the most listings or have the best agents that tend to rank towards the top.  In many cases it is the company that has no real content only the most complex internal linking structure and are manipulating the IDX feed that are at the top.  You have to wonder is this really what is best for the … (0 comments)

Boulder County Schools offer something for everyone.  We are currently in the process of trying to find the perfect match for Callie to attend middle school next year.  The options are very broad.  Should she attend Manhattan Middle School For The Arts or should she attend Horizons Charter school with it's small size classrooms and focus on making the world a better place.  Casey Middle school might be a nice option with a brand new green campus and top notch classes and ESL program.  Centennial middle school is intriguing it's larger size allows the broadest spectrum of after school activities and programs.

Last evening as we were celebrating at our RE/MAX Alliance Holiday Party one of the brokers in my office came up with his girlfriend, who is a broker in another office in town, and said how thankful he was that we did not cancel our holiday party and the camaraderie he felt from the other agents in our office was critical to his success.  His girl friend, that was from another office in town, stated the mood of her office was very negative and seemed to take the wind out the agents sails as management cut cost by having a very … (1 comments)

Boulder County posts 66% increase in transaction Units for November 2009 - 12/03/09 09:05 PM
Boulder County Home Sales experienced a 66% increase in November 2009 over November 2008 Sales.  In November 2008 Boulder County had 6.1 Sales per day for Single Family Homes and Attached Dwellings combined in November 2009 this number grew by 66% to 10.13 sales per a day.  This much more in line with the numbers we were experiencing for the same time period back in 2006 prior to the rug being pulled out from under the financial markets.
The November numbers are a nice reference point when we take into consideration we experienced a very stable market with upward trending for September and October as well.  It is … (0 comments)
