I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.  For me tomorrow is a day that my wife and I open up our house to our friends, especially those that do not have any family locally.  We have done this for many years and have had as many as 28 people at our small home for Thanksgiving.  We cook up a huge turkey (no not me) and a bunch of pies.  Everyone else brings all the other side dishes that will be part of our meal.  Of course we eat to much, which results in all the men falling asleep during the football … (24 comments)

This past week William Walton asked me if I would post a blog on Assuming A Mortgage.  William has been getting some questions on what is involved in  Assuming A Mortgage and wanted to see what is involved in doing that.

Decline In The Number Of Mortgage Loan Officers In Connecticut. - 11/01/10 05:29 PM
As of today ALL Mortgage Loan Officers who do not work for a depository institution (Banks, Credit Unions, etc.) need to be licensed in Connecticut.  This will have in my opinion a major impact and Decline In The Number of Mortgage Loan Officers In Connecticut.
As I wrote back on August 11th of this year "Make Sure Your Mortgage Loan Officer Is Licensed" as of yesterday Mortgage Loan Officers and Brokers who do not work for a depository institution, needed to have taken a National Test and Connecticut Licensing Test, and past them with a score of 75 or higher in order to obtain … (20 comments)
