real estate investors: Good, Better and Best - 07/22/12 10:32 AM
Switching from PC to Mac: a rite of passage. Not just a decision, but an experience.
As I navigate this gauntlet, a pattern has jumped out at me. Here were two outstanding machines – a Toshiba Satellite and a MacBook Pro – and I am stuck using them both right now. I know I need to make my move, but I hesitate. A new client from Carolina One Real Estate in Charleston told me I would never get out of limbo until I just “make the jump”. He says I must not hesitate, lest I cause myself unnecessary pain. He … (11 comments)

real estate investors: The End of “Too-Good-To-Be-True” Marketing - 06/19/12 01:11 AM
“Find me a deal!” seems to be the mantra of too many real estate investors; the wrong ones. As if you have sellers everywhere who are completely ignorant of the true value of their property. You can’t blame these investors. They have been sold this fairytale by one real estate guru after another for decades. They believe that there are “too-good-to-be-true” opportunities out there because they have been told so. We attempted something that I think might be a first in real estate brokerage and I wanted to share the feedback. You know by now that investors represent 23% of the national market. It may be a little higher or a little lower in your town, but it's still 3 times bigger than new construction at the peak, and 5 times bigger than corporate relo ever was. OK...enough said...huge opportunity. How do we capture it?
Last week we tested a concept called the OwnAmerica Double Header:
- A Real estate agent certification by day
- An Investor Seminar for their customers by … (0 comments)

real estate investors: Question: How many people in your Sphere are thinking about investing? - 03/11/12 01:31 AM
Answer: Most of us have no idea, but I promise you this - there are many.
You would be pleasantly surprised to learn that there are people you know who are talking about making an investment in real estate right now - people who already know you, like you, and may have experienced the quality of your service. The problem is...they don't think of you when the subject comes up. You sell homes, and they already have one of those.
We have discovered that finding new investor clients is as easy as sending a mailing to your sphere.
Today is the ideal day … (11 comments)
