I can’t stand spam! It comes in many forms: slimy meat in a can, unsolicited emails, and lame comment on blogs. With real estate blogs popularity ever increasing, more and more Realtors are becoming bloggers. Many over zealous Realtors are tempted to spam their own blog by adding more categories then necessary or tag that aren’t even relevant.
The other day while looking over some local real estate blogs, I came across a prime example of a Realtor taking categorizing post to the extreme. Below is the list of tags this post was giving(19):
Posted by SpamRealty in: Search Utah County Real Estate for Sale, Utah County Real Estate, Buying a Home, FSBO, For Sale by Owner, Home Buying Tips, Provo, Provo Utah, Real Estate Statistics, Selling a Home Provo, Provo average sales price, Provo home prices, Provo homes, Provo house, Provo housing, Provo real estate, Provo sales prices, Provo Utah
The post was maybe two paragraphs long and made no mention of FSBO. Honestly give it a rest! Pick one or two categories and call it good.
P.S. I made changes to the quoted section so I wouldn’t be plagiarizer, but you get the idea.
Yesterday while reading some blogs, I came across a post about myIPneighbors.com. At first glance, I thought that it was about a new real estate website (they need a new logo). I started playing around, checking my site, then move on to other site that I’m interested in. When checking Zillow, I expected to see Zillow Blog, Zillow Feeds, or CoRE. Instead I find Zillow Eyes… What the heck is Zillow Eyes? Is it something new they are working on? Is it the new mortgage service they have been talking about. What’s your best guess?
For the while now (feels like forever) I have been hearing and reading about a site/service called Twitter. It has never really sounded all that interesting to me. Well, today I decided to just stop fighting, swallow my pride, and start twittering. But there is a twist, I am only going to do it for a month. If I don’t care for it…Done! If you’re really interested in where I’m going to lunch or that I’m updating my FaceBook at 2 a.m., feel free to check it out!
Tell me what you think about Twitter. Do you use it? Have you tried it? Sick of hearing about it? Love it…post your own Twitter link!
Today I thought I would try my hand at being Pablo Picasso. I started making a few faces using Mr. Picassohead. Then I decided to make him a real estate agent , which was kinda tricky. I made the home out of two noses, an eyebrow, and some other random objects. I think if Pablo were in the real estate biz, he would of have some great marketing materials (and closing gifts)! Next up…. sculpting.
Ever think about what your dream house would be like? I know you do! Everyone does it. Now you don’t have to just dream about it, you can have the blue prints (at least a part) and a description. Here’s mine…
Your kitchen is someplace you never go, because you “have people for that.” There’s a Chocolatessen, which is rapidly becoming your favorite room of the house. Having one is also becoming a trend among your wealthy neighbors. Your master bedroom is the size of a small barn, with carpet thick enough to reach your ankles. Your study has hardback editions of every classic ever written, plus a special edition of Rich Dad, Poor Dad with the parts you ghost-authored highlighted. One of your garages holds your collection of ferraris, and is measured in acreage.
Your home also includes a guest wing and private quarters for your servants. Outside is your hedge maze and gardens, meticulously tended by a team of world-class botanists.
Whether your “real” dream home is a cabin in Sundance, a condo near BYU, or what ever. If it’s in Utah County let us help you find it!
We here at GundyGroup are big time blog readers. Especially when it comes to real estate. For the past year or so we have enjoyed the Carnival of Real Estate. To show our support we’ll give a lil’ link love to the first fifty.
On September 11th we signed papers and moved into our new place. We’re loving it! It’s in Ridgestone Condos in Payson. It’s on the west side of the freeway across for Wal-Mart. It has been a long time coming, since construction was suppose to have been completed in early June. Here are some of the things we love most about it:
It’s not someone else’s basement.
Indoor swimming pool (coming soon).
Friends live in the same building.
No mowing a huge yard.
T-Mobile tower near by.
Rachelle loves the kitchen.
Tax write off!
Won’t you be our neighbors - We will be listing a unit in building #1 in a week or so… If you would like more info, feel free to contact us.
