Mississauga area home prices rose again in November, up by 8.59% from a yearr ago to $732,771. Unfortunately, sales and listings went in the opposite direction with Unit sales down 24.14% to 572 in November, compared to 754 in the same month last year.
New Listings were also down 31.95% in the same period reminiscent of the cooling off period initiated by the provincial Fair Housing Plan in April 2017.

streetsville homes for sale: CAN I INSPIRE YOU TO TRY THIS? - 02/10/18 05:54 AM
MAKING FRESH HOMEMADE MEALS
IS EASIER THAN YOU THINK

We were talkng about it being Pizza Day the other day, and being Italian, I love Pizza, or any Italian food for that matter. I make homemade meals as often as I can, and people always comment.. "where do you have the time?"

It actually doesn't take that long to make fresh homemade food and I know exactly what the ingredients are and like to try and stay away from those awful preservatives found in just about anything  these days.

I made a video a couple of years ago, becuase a lot of my FB … (28 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: A Mother's Love ... - 11/22/16 01:08 AM
Another profound writing by Erma Bombeck - the humorist who wrote about every day life as a parent.. who could make me laugh... simply because I could relate... and they were all true.
"Someday, when my children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates a mother, I’ll tell them…
I loved you enough to bug you about where you were going, with whom and what time you would get home.
I loved you enough to insist you buy a bike with your own money, which we could afford, and you couldn’t.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover your … (1 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: I've Always Loved You Best Because ... - 11/15/16 08:56 PM
Erma Bombeck could always put a smile on my face with her comical quips about every day life as a parent.... This one is more serious and comes from the heart..(although there is a bit of humour at the beginning)  I had never seen this one before... so thought I would share it.
I’ve Always Loved You Best Because …
It is normal for children to want assurance that they are loved. Having all the warmth of the Berlin Wall, I have always admired women who can reach out to pat their children and not have them flinch.
Feeling more comfortable on paper, I … (5 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: If You Had Your Life To Live Over Again ... - 11/02/16 09:54 PM
Some of my favourite quotes from humourist, Erma Bombeck:

“Cleanliness is not next to Godliness. It isn't even in the same neighborhood. No one has ever gotten a religious experience out of removing burned-on cheese from the grill of the toaster oven.”

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.”

“Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the 'Titanic' who waved off the dessert cart.”

There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, … (4 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: Is There An Inner Chef In You? Home Made Pasta From Scratch - 11/01/16 04:11 AM
Pasta is one of my favourite foods, and being Italian, I’m very fussy about my Pasta, and there is no comparison between home made and store bought…. The good news?  It’s not that difficult OR time consuming as everyone thinks.
It has a soft, velvety texture that you just don’t get in store bought pasta, and the other big plus? It only takes 2-3 minutes to cook… much less time than the store bought.
The other plus?  You know exactly what you and your family are eating because everything is made from scratch with fresh eggs, and flour..
To compliment the soft, velvety pasta … (0 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: Homemade Bread... Easier Than You Think... - 10/20/16 12:29 AM
I'm a single grandmother, raising three children, on my own.  I've had them with me for 11 years now, starting when they were 2, 3 and 5.... Although I like to cook, if I were living alone, I wouldn't necesarily do it every night.
I am trying to teach my granchildren to have good eating habits as much as possible, and to eat as little processed food as possible, as well as fast foods and sugar snacks which I limit as a treat every once in a while.
One of the favourite things is my homemade bread, which I make about every other day... … (2 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: Grandma Outsmarts Two Mechanical Engineers - 10/03/16 11:49 PM
I reposted this from a friend on Facebook... Thank you Pat Auriol - Canadian Residential Inspections

Raymond and Bubba
Raymond & Bubba, two Saskatchewan mechanical engineers who work for the Govenrment, were standing at the base of a flagpole, looking up.
A woman walked by and asked what they were doing.
“We're supposed to find the height of the flagpole,” said  Bubba, “but we don't have a ladder.”
The woman said, “Hand me that wrench out of your toolbox.”
She loosened a few bolts, and laid the pole down.
Then she took a tape measure from their toolbox, took a
measurement, and announced, “Eighteen feet, six … (3 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: Buying A Home With A Pool, Well, & Septic.. The Necessary Clauses - 10/03/16 10:38 PM
Are you considering purchasing a home that has a well?  How about one with a Septic?   Or even one with an in-ground pool?
If the home you're thinking of purchasing has a well, it would be imperative to have a clause in your offer that either you, the Buyer, or the Seller will have the Well water tested to ensure it is potable.  In most cases, if you have a well, you will also have a Septic System. Another important clause to insert in your Offer would be one to show the Septic Systems has been inspected, and a certificate … (0 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: Can You Spot a "Grow House?" The Damage Can Be Devastating - 10/01/16 11:39 PM
Several years ago, my clients and I viewed a home in an upper middle class neighbourhood that they fell in love with. The house needed some work, in particular the kitchen, but my client was in the kitchen renovation business!!  When we went into the basement, I immediately noticed that the floor had just been painted... then when I looked up into the joists, I saw the holes that were drilled all along the length of the house to allow for the electrical wires to feed through.  There was also some black mould visible on the joists.  Then the light bulb … (17 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: Keep Detailed Notes/Texts, They Could Exonerate You In A Legal Dispute - 10/01/16 01:03 AM
I'm not sure if its my administrative background, or merely that I am a very detailed oriented person, so I always try to dot my "i's" and cross my "t's" in the event I may need to refer back to the file sometime down the road in the event of a dispute, or worse, a legal action.
These notes ( and my memory of exact details) never came in more useful than when, a few years ago I was contacted by a buyer from out of town looking to purchase something in a very specific area of town. I met with her … (0 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: FINANCING PRE-APPROVAL - BEFORE HOUSE HUNTING - 12/26/14 10:49 PM
FINANCING PRE-APPOVAL - IS IT REALLY THAT IMPORTANT?
I have been a real estate agent for 27 years, and one of the things I always suggest to my clients is for them to contact their financial institution or a mortgage broker and get their financing pre-approval in place prior to going out house hunting. There is nothing worse that a couple finding their dream home, only to find out it is out of their price range and they can't afford to buy it.

Recently, I was working with a … (3 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THAT IMPORTANT PURCHASE/SALE? - 12/24/14 04:14 AM
10 TIPS ON   HOW TO PREPARE FOR THAT IMPORTANT PURCHASE OR SALE   As reported by Mark Weisleder  in The Toronto Star
Here are 10 ways to prepare yourself.
1.  Be Prepared
The best way to avoid this is to be prepared when you buy a home. This means doing research and finding the right agent – should you choose to use one – and other professionals to protect your interests.
2. Why an agent is a good idea
Agents give you objective advice about what a home is worth. The agent will also have connections to lenders and home inspectors … (0 comments)

streetsville homes for sale: SELLERS HAVE YOU MADE THE EXTERIOR OF YOUR HOME SALEABLE TOO?? - 10/29/13 10:47 PM
Curb Appeal.... How Important Is It?
A vast majority of home buyers decide whether or not to look inside a home, based on their first impressions of the outside... does it have "curb appeal?" ..the view they see when they drive by or arrive for a showing.  You can ensure people want to come inside your home by spending some time working on its exterior appearance, making it inviting for buyers to want to see more.
A home's curb appeal is one this potenetial buyers are most likely to judge when they arrive at your home, and unfortunatley, it is something … (2 comments)
