Combining Technologies - 11/27/07 08:57 PM
A special thanks to Jeff Turner at Real Estate Shows for turning me on to Utterz.
Today, I created a post on The Harper Team site for our new listing at 200 Alicante Place in Danville CA.
In the post I included a Real Estate Show and an impromptu interview done using Utterz. I am quite pleased with the end result and actually like it better than a single video.

Keller Williams Profit Sharing - 11/21/07 09:44 AM
About a year ago, I wrote this post How MLM - MultiLevel Marketing Prepared Me for Real EstateToday, I received a comment for a person calling themselves  Ychzal.
What's your opiinion of his comment and my response. Am I being too reactive? Is his comment as rediculous to you as it is to me?
If someone is going to question the KW Profit Sharing Plan, don't you think they should at least know what the heck they ard talking about?
I guess to Ychzal it makes more sense to leave that money in the broker's pocket.
Have you ever seen a person receive a … (0 comments)

Plaxo Pulse works for YOU - 11/19/07 06:03 PM
I have been using Plaxo for about three years and have found it very useful. Plaxo has added Plaxo Pulse...
Over at Mashable today, Plaxo was center stage-
Plaxo Sees Exponential Growth as First to Use OpenSocialThe company that got first dibs at implementing OpenSocial gadgets has seen its service grow more than tenfold in the 3 weeks since roll out. Plaxo Pulse, the service that lets you receive live updates on activity going on across your social networks based on the contacts you have in Plaxo, was quick to jump on the OpenSocial train; and that has turned into a gravy train … (0 comments)

Copywriters Perform Magic for Real Estate Agents - 11/14/07 08:14 PM
With the increasing demands on my time, I am finding it more and more difficult to post to the five blogs I maintain, leave comments on your blogs, and create additional needed content for our sites - and all of the Internet marketing and PR stuff. Whew! That sentence wears me out!
Ever since I ran into Joseph Natividad, I've been on the lookout for how to use other writers to support our effort. I'm writing over at AgentGenius, though I'm no genius. I'm not looking to go that route of having a team of contributors.
Last summer, I ran into Carol … (1 comments)

Inexplicable Design Elements in Asheville NC - 11/14/07 06:56 PM
I have a friend with a unique talent. Even she doesn't quite know how to describe what she does. Mostly I think of her as a decorator, but she has also studied Feng Shui - though neither really describe what she does or how she does it.
I think the how is the most difficult to grok. If she dealt in water, she would probably be a dowser. She can transform a space, whether indoors or outdoors into something incredible. Of course, many people can do that.
What sets Barclay Law of Design With Feeling apart from others is what I might … (0 comments)

Social Diseases - 11/08/07 09:45 PM
For those of you with a social disease and about a minute to spare check it out:
In Recovery from Social MediaI am working like many of you to grasp and grok what's needed and most useful with everything that the Internet is throwing at us. Our grandchildren will probably not understand the enormous pressures we faced to make it a better world for them...
When I was your age I had to surf, blog, facebook and twitter 24/7 just to...
I see a lot of facial tics and drooling heading our way.

Branding - This Could be Bad News - 11/08/07 09:34 PM
We hear a lot about branding and marketing. We are branding and marketing ourselves 24/7. If we think branding and marketing is separate from who we are, we need a 40-day fast in the desert to reflect on the whole situation.
Here's a timely piece from John Janstch over at DuctTape Marketing.
Here's something I wrote a while ago.
And here is a spooky pic that gives new meaning to personal branding!

Caribbean Islands Lifestyle Detective - 11/07/07 06:01 PM
My friend, Jim Walberg, is down in St Thomas, USVI at the VI Charter Boat Show. He is covering the event with several posts daily.
I've been working with Jim on his site for several months now. He is building traffic at a nice pace. He's had over fifteen resort developers contact him to help market their properties, the VICL set up a special desk for him at the boat show, and he's having a ball.
You can follow his Caribbean Adventures here.

Cool New Tools - 11/05/07 09:02 AM
I don't have a lot of time, but thought you might be interested in these two new tools.
I'm sure you can get Jeff Turner to  create some Real Estate demos, but imagine the possibilities!
