Angry Birds Almost Laid an Egg - 07/28/11 12:01 PM
I have a great business partner in Belinda.  She always keeps the closing table on track and getting their jobs as buyers and sellers done.  Sellers normally finish signing all there paper early and the buyers have their loan package to cover and sign.
We had a great closing yesterday.
The sellers were done with their part of the closing and were sitting idle.  Belinda just bought the new iPad2 a couple weeks ago.  Our sellers have the older iPad and wanted to see the new one.  No problem.  She whipped it out of her brief case and handed it over … (11 comments)

People, Please be aware of what the summer heat can do to your pets.  This is a great blog that Judith Parker wrote and it points out what to do for your four legged friends.
Via Judith Parker , CRS, GRI... Charlotte, NC Specialist (Keller William):
Our Keller Williams office is in a business park, so many other businesses are there as well.  Today our office received an emergency e-mail that there was a red truck in the parking lot and there was a dog inside the truck.  They were desperately looking for the owner and if not found would contact animal control.

Another Great Day on the Golf Course With All Kinds of Friends! - 07/19/11 08:47 PM
It was a picture perfect day in Colorado on Monday and I was lucky enough to take the afternoon off and play in my summer golf league.
We played at Arrowhead Golf Course which is close to Red Rocks Park.  The course is challenging and beautiful.
Last year, we played this course and a fox came up and tried to get some candy off of us.  Yesterday, I was about half way through the game, when another fox came up to say hello.  His name is Rickie!!

This fox wasn't as friendly as the one from last year.  He did … (10 comments)

A Day Off In Real Estate???? In July???? - 07/18/11 11:57 AM
You have to love trying to take a day off and the phone keeps ringing!
So, Belinda, my business partner, said I should take Sunday off and relax.  My wife keeps telling me that the to do list around the house is getting larger and if I still wanted to have a wine tasting party on Saturday night this week,  I better get the flowers beds and the lawn looking better.
Sounded like a great game plan until 10 a.m.  The first phone call came in from another agent who submitted a contract on a home, but my client is out … (11 comments)

Is it almost time to start working on my 2012 BUSINESS PLAN? - 07/16/11 11:43 AM
Is it almost time to start working on my 2012 BUSINESS PLAN?
I always say "Plan your work and work your plan". Well, 2011 is working out to be a stellar year for my business partner, Belinda, and I so far.  We are controlling our expenses better and still have money in the budget to upgrade for the future in the way of signs, bright lite up flyer boxes,  etc.
I always work on my business plan on a mini vacation over Thanksgiving up in a cabin at Steamboat Springs, but this year I am thinking of working on it early.

Does the printing press work for producing money for all of us? - 07/15/11 03:02 PM
Does the printing press work for producing money for all of us?
I am not sure what is going on with our nation right now.  I know that people on Social Security need their checks and they need them on time.  I know that people need medicare to take care of their health.  I know that our people in Washington D.C. are working hard to figure out what has to be done to get through the mess we are in.
So my question is, how is this going to effect the real estate market?   What happens if there is no checks … (9 comments)

The Colorado Skies Are Never Boring - 07/13/11 04:34 PM
I was driving all over town this morning and I had to go and show one of our listings in Strausburg which is about 40 minutes east of Denver.
On my way back to town, I noticed some incredible clouds in the sky.
I stopped and took a few pictures.  The skies of Colorado are never boring.  There is always something going on.
This past week we have had severe thunderstorms every afternoon. It has been pouring rain, thundering and lightning like nothing I have seen in a while.
These clouds were worth sharing.

I sure am glad that I do not have this problem with my business partner, Belinda Spillman.

Anyone Know a Good Realtor in Bourbonnais, Illinois? - 07/10/11 12:08 PM
I was out with friends last night having dinner and watching and dancing to my favorite Denver cover band, Hot Posse.  One of the couples we were with have been trying to buy a home in BOURBONNAIS, ILLINOIS.
They worked with a Realtor from the area and were very unhappy.  The agent did not help them one bit.
They asked me if I could find them a good full time Realtor in this area.  I told them my friends at Active Rain were sure to know someone who could provide a high level of service to my friends.

Pay it forward - Lockboxes can be tricky
While showing properties on Friday of this week, we arrived at a home where the owner met us at the door.
